Aim: "To evaluate oncological and surgical outcomes of different levels of tumor thrombus and tumor characteristics secondary to renal cell carcinoma (RCC)".
Materials And Methods: Retrospective review from 2013 to 2020 of 34 patients who underwent radical nephrectomy with thrombectomy for RCC with tumor thrombus extending into the inferior vena cava (IVC) and right atrium (RA) at our center. Level I and most level II tumors were removed using straight forward occluding maneuvers with control of the contralateral renal vein.

Background: Importance of repairing a diaphragmatic tear due to a missile injury cannot be overemphasized. Even a small diaphragmatic rent should be repaired because of morbidity and mortality caused by subsequent herniation and strangulation.

Background: Esophagogastrectomy for carcinoma of the esophagus is the standard surgical treatment for cure or palliation. Esophagogastric anastomotic leakage is a life-threatening postoperative complication, more so if the leakage occurs in the chest.
Methods: A prospective, randomized study was conducted on 238 patients treated for carcinoma of the esophagus between January 2000 and January 2006.
