Introduction: Preservation of primary teeth is essential for optimal oral health in children; however, there is limited research on primary tooth extraction patterns in India. This study aimed to investigate the reasons for and patterns of primary tooth extraction in children in an Indian tertiary care dental setting.

Methodology: This retrospective cross-sectional study analyzed dental records of children aged up to 14 years who underwent tooth extraction under local anesthesia from January to December 2023.

Comparison of Buccal and Lingual-Based Triangular Flap During Mandibular Third Molar Extraction for Reducing Postoperative Complications: A Randomized Controlled Trial.

Background: Surgical removal of the mandibular third molar requires reflection of the mucoperiosteal flap. Several studies have suggested different varieties and innovative designs for flap reflection. We have designed a randomized controlled trial (RCT) to check the feasibility of two flap designs: lingual-based triangular flap (LBTF) and buccal-based triangular flap (BBTF) by calculating the duration of surgery and evaluating postoperative complications such as pain, swelling, and trismus.

This research aimed to assess the responses and potential differences between these vaccines by examining the presence and levels of SARS-CoV-2 IgG antibodies in healthcare professionals who received them. Methodology A comprehensive cross-sectional study was conducted at a tertiary care facility in Ranchi involving 227 healthcare professionals who had completed both doses of either Covishield or Covaxin.

This is a case report of a massive gingival enlargement in a 12-year-old female child with nonsyndromic gingival fibromatosis, which was treated by multidisciplinary approach involving surgical and prosthetic rehabilitation and at the same time instilling psychological benefit.

A Comparative Radiographic Evaluation of Occlusal Plane in Dentulous and Edentulous Subjects: A Clinical Study.

Aim: The aim of this study is to establish a proportion between the inferior border of mandible and lower edge of the mental foramen and inferior border of mandible to occlusal plane for dentulous subjects and to evaluate the validity of this proportion in orienting the occlusal plane for edentulous subjects.

Materials And Methods: The occlusal plane was evaluated in the selected 50 dentulous and edentulous subjects for its relation to the mental foramen and inferior border of the mandible. The orthopantograms obtained were traced with the markings and the measurements were tabulated under different headings.

Angiolipoma, spindle cell lipoma, mylelolipoma, chondrolipoma and myxolipoma are histological variants of lipoma arising from fat tissues. Although the angiolipoma is the most common tumour in the trunk and the extrimities of young people, it occurs infrequently in the head and neck region.
