Epidemiological trend and clinical profile of COVID-19 patients: Experience from a designated COVID-19 center in Delhi.

Objective: To study the epidemiological characteristics of the pandemic by describing the clinical profile of the COVID-19 patients presenting to a super specialty hospital.

Methods: This was a descriptive study using medical records of patients who tested positive for SARS-CoV-2 RNA using reverse transcription-polymerase chain reaction between 17 March and 15 January 2021 while maintaining confidentiality. The clinical and demographic data of all the patients were entered in a Microsoft Excel and statistical analysis was done using SPSS 21 software.

Evaluation of SARS-CoV-2 antibody responses in healthcare workers at a tertiary care COVID 19 dedicated hospital in Delhi.

Purpose: Amidst the on-going SARS-CoV-2 pandemic, healthcare workers have been at a greater risk of disease exposure as they are working in environments chiefly involved in the COVID-19 patient care since March 2020. SARS-CoV-2 antibody testing can prove to be a valuable tool for better understanding of prevalence of disease exposure in this population. Therefore, we conducted this study to grasp the sero-prevalence of COVID-19 antibodies in our hospital to better comprehend the duration of IgG response.

COVID 19-related burnout among healthcare workers in India and ECG based predictive machine learning model: Insights from the BRUCEE- Li study.

Objectives: COVID-19 pandemic has led to unprecedented increase in rates of stress and burn out among healthcare workers (HCWs). Heart rate variability (HRV) has been shown to be reflective of stress and burnout. The present study evaluated the prevalence of burnout and attempted to develop a HRV based predictive machine learning (ML) model to detect burnout among HCWs during COVID-19 pandemic.

Background: There is no large contemporary data from India to see the prevalence of burnout in HCWs in covid era. Burnout and mental stress is associated with electrocardiographic changes detectable by artificial intelligence (AI).

Objective: The present study aims to estimate the prevalence of burnout in HCWs in COVID-19 era using Mini Z-scale and to develop predictive AI model to detect burnout in HCWs in COVID-19 era.

Background: The coronavirus disease (COVID-19) presents across a spectrum of signs and symptoms and shows clinico-epidemiological predilections (elderly, those with comorbidities). Delhi is among the highest burden states in India.

Objectives: To report the case detection trends and clinico-epidemiological profile of patients tested positive at a designated COVID-19 hospital in Delhi in Northern India.

Toxoplasmosis of spinal cord in acquired immunodeficiency syndrome patient presenting as paraparesis: a rare entity.

Although brain has been the most common site for toxoplasma infection in acquired immunodeficiency syndrome patients, involvement of spinal cord by toxoplasma has been rarely found. Spinal cord toxoplasmosis can present as acute onset weakness in both lower limbs associated with sensory and bladder dysfunction. A presumptive diagnosis can be made in patients with CD4 count <100/mm(3) based on a positive serum Toxoplasma gondii IgG antibodies, no recent prophylaxis against toxoplasmosis, intramedullary ring enhancing lesion in spinal cord supported by similar lesions in brain parenchyma.

The latest information system technologies, such as Clinical Data Warehouses (CDW), Clinical Decision-Support (CDS) systems and data-mining techniques (Online Analytical Processing (OLAP) and Online Transactional Processing (OLTP)), are used to maintain and utilise patient data intelligently, based on the users' requirements. Moreover, clinical trial reports for new drug approvals are now being submitted electronically for faster and easier processing.

Video-assisted thoracic surgery for hemothorax following coronary artery bypass.

A 56-year-old man complained of dyspnea and cough 9 days after coronary artery bypass grafting. Chest radiography showed opacity and left lung collapse. Following removal of clots from the pleural cavity by videothoracoscopy, he recovered without further incident.
