Background The importance of achieving optimal sealing in endodontic procedures cannot be overstated, as it directly influences the success and durability of root canal treatments. The objective of this research was to measure and identify the sealing ability of endodontic sealers by evaluating their adhesion to root canal dentin and the extent to which they achieve a complete seal. Methods A total of 60 extracted lower premolar teeth were randomly divided into three groups of 20 samples each.

Article Synopsis
  • Diabetes mellitus (DM), especially type 2 (T2DM), is marked by high blood sugar levels and often requires additional treatments to manage the condition effectively.
  • A study involving 80 newly diagnosed T2DM patients found that those receiving zinc supplementation, in addition to standard medication, had significant improvements in blood glucose levels and lipid profiles over 12 months compared to a placebo group.
  • While zinc supplementation showed positive effects on glycemic control and reduced bad cholesterol, it did not significantly impact some other lipid levels, indicating the need for more research on its overall benefits in diabetes management.

Aim: To compare the effectiveness of Apex Locators and Endomotor with built-in Apex Locators for determining the working length in root canal treatment.

Methods: A total of 120 patients were randomly assigned to three groups: Group 1 (Root ZX Mini Apex Locator), Group 2 (Minipex Apex Locator), and Group 3 (Endopilot Endomotor with built-in Apex Locator). Working length was determined using respective devices, followed by canal preparation and radiographic confirmation with a master cone.

Background: Cleaning and shaping represent a vital step in the endodontic procedure. In routine endodontic therapy, the fracture of nickel-titanium (NiTi) instruments is a procedural problem creating a major obstacle to therapy.

Aim: This study examines the life span of one Neoendo Flex and ProTaper Next (PTN) rotary file using reciprocating motion and compares the time required by both file systems for canal preparation.

Aim: The objective of this study was to assess the effect of different endodontic instrumentation systems on the amount of apically extruded bacteria.

Materials And Methods: One hundred and twenty freshly extracted human mandibular premolars with single canal were collected. Endodontic access cavities were prepared and then contaminated with an suspension (ATCC 29212).

Objective: The objective of the study was to compare and evaluate the clinical and radiographic outcome of single- versus multivisit endodontic treatment in teeth with periapical pathology at the end of 1, 3, and 6 months.

Materials And Methods: Sixty single- and multi-rooted teeth indicated for root canal treatment with periapical pathology were included in the study. The teeth were assigned randomly into two groups Group I and Group II ( = 30 each), which were further subdivided into subgroup IA, subgroup IB and subgroup IIA, subgroup IIB ( = 15 each), respectively.
