Semaglutide, a glucagon-like peptide-1 receptor agonist, has emerged as a promising pharmacological intervention in obesity management. This systematic review aimed to evaluate the efficacy and safety of semaglutide in promoting weight loss in adults with obesity. A comprehensive literature search was conducted in the PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science databases, and nine studies met the inclusion criteria.

This systematic review evaluated the efficacy and safety of efpeglenatide in patients with T2DM and obesity. Literature searches in PubMed, Scopus, and Web of Science focused on randomized controlled trials (RCTs), cohort studies, case-control studies, and longitudinal observational studies from 2019 to 2024.
