Background And Purpose: Temporary drainage of the upper urinary tract after ureterorenoscopy for the treatment of urinary stones is almost a routine in endourologic practice. In these cases, a Double-J stent (DJS) is left for 7 or more days. In borderline cases, a ureteral catheter attached to the urethral catheter may be left for 24-48 hours.
