A NiCoO-Au composite was fabricated following the calcination-reduction method and testified to exhibit the intrinsic high peroxidase- and oxidase-like activities. The composite could activate a low level of HO (100 μM) to kill E. coli and S.

TiO₂ nanoparticles are immobilized on chlorella cells using the hydrothermal method. The morphology, structure, and the visible-light-driven photocatalytic activity of the prepared chlorella/TiO₂ composite are investigated by various methods. The chlorella/TiO₂ composite is found to exhibit larger average sizes and higher visible-light intensities.

Polydopamine-Ag-AgCl composites (PDA-Ag-AgCl) were synthesized using a mussel-inspired method at room temperature, where PDA acts as a reducing agent to obtain the noble Ag nanoparticles from a precursor. The morphologies and structures of the as-prepared PDA-Ag-AgCl were characterized by several techniques including field emission scanning electron microscopy (FESEM), transmission electron microscopy (SEM), Raman spectra, and X-Ray photoelectron spectrum (XPS). The morphological observation depicts formation of nanoparticles with various micrometer size diameters and surface XPS analysis shows presence of various elements including Ag, N, Cl, and O.

Objective: To observe the curative effect of autogenous bone pate for atticus reconstitution and mastoid cavity obliteration in canal wall down mastoidectomy with tympanoplasty.

Method: The 60 patients (60 ears) of cholesteatomatous tympanitis were randomly divided into 2 groups. The experimental group underwent canal wall down mastoidectomy with tympanoplasty and using autogenous bone pate for atticus reconstitution and mastoid cavity obliteration.

The influence of BSA on adsorption equilibrium of Ni2+ onto delta-MnO2 had been investigated using a batch method. It was showed that the adsorption-pH curves of Ni2+ onto delta-MnO2 were "S-shape" at [BSA] = 10 mg x L(-1), and the leaping range of adsorption would move to high value of pH in the presence of BSA. The extent of effect had relation to the adding order and the concentration of BSA, and the trend was IV (BSA added first) > III (Ni2+ and BSA added simultaneously) approximately II (Ni2+ added first).
