Objective: This study investigated the effects of N-Acetylcysteine (NAC) combined with Ambroxol Hydrochloride (AH) on clinical symptoms, C-Reactive Protein (CRP), and Procalcitonin (PCT) levels in children with pneumonia.
Methods: A total of 98 children with pneumonia were assigned to the control group and observation group by random number table method. NAC was administered to the observation group and AH was given to the control group.
MicroRNAs (miRNAs) are small non-coding RNAs (18~25 nt in length) that act as master regulators of eukaryotic gene expression. They might play an oncogenic or tumor-suppressive role in multiple cancers. In recent decades, several studies have focused on the functions and mechanisms of miR-335 in cancer.

However, risk factors associated with the occurrence of COVID-19 among close contacts have not been well described. A total of 106 household contacts were included in this study, of whom 19 developed into COVID-19 cases, and the secondary attack rate was 17.

Osteosarcoma (OS) is one of the most common malignant bone tumors in childhood and adolescence. Although great efforts have been made in therapeutic methods for OS, the prognosis is not yet satisfactory and the underlying molecular mechanisms of OS pathogenesis have not been fully explored. Meanwhile, non-coding RNAs, especially microRNAs (miRNAs) and long noncoding RNAs (lncRNAs), have long been investigated due to their roles as key players in regulating various biological and pathological processes, such as proliferation, apoptosis, cell-cycle, migration, invasion, metastasis, EMT and drug resistance, through targeting their mRNAs transcriptionally or posttranscriptionally.

Preptin is a peptide synthesized and secreted accompanied with insulin from pancreatic β cells. Here, we tested the hypothesis that serum preptin concentrations are correlated with diabetic nephropathy (DN). Our study was performed in a population of 234 patients with type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) and 78 healthy subjects.

We aimed to examine the associations between fruit, vegetable, seafood, and dairy intake and type 2 diabetes prevalence in a Chinese population.
Methods And Study Design: A total of 4,343 individuals aged 35-74 years participated in a population-based cross-sectional study in Qingdao, China.
