Application of neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with anlotinib in occult breast cancer: A case report and review of literature.

Background: Occult breast cancer (OBC) is a special type of breast cancer presenting as axillary lymph node metastasis with undetectable primary lesions in the breast. Due to its low incidence and unique clinical manifestations, there is a lack of consensus on the diagnosis and treatment of OBC. We report a case of OBC treated with neoadjuvant chemotherapy combined with anlotinib.

Isolation and characterization of adult mammary stem cells from breast cancer-adjacent tissues.

Normal adult mammary stem cells (AMSCs) are promising sources for breast reconstruction, particularly following the resection of breast tumors. However, carcinogenic events can potentially convert normal AMSCs to cancer stem cells, posing a safety concern for the use of AMSCs for clinical tissue regeneration. In the present study, AMSCs and autologous primary breast cancer cells were isolated and compared for their ability to differentiate, their gene expression profile, and their potential to form tumors .

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 (ALDH1) expression is associated with a poor prognosis of bladder cancer.

Aldehyde dehydrogenase 1 (ALDH1), a cancer stem cell marker, has been reported to be altered in human carcinogenesis. This study assessed the expression of ALDH1 protein in invasive vs. noninvasive bladder cancer tissues for association with clinicopathological factors and bladder cancer prognosis.

Clinical Presentation And Intervention: A female patient presented with a complaint of right flank pain. She had a right renal space-occupying lesion, underwent right radical nephrectomy, and returned to normotensive postoperatively.
