Foxtail millet is a traditional excellent crop with high nutritional value in the world, belong to cereals. The bran of foxtail millet is rich in polyphenol that has antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and anti-tumorigenic effects. Previously, we extracted bound polyphenols from the inner shell of foxtail millet bran (BPIS).

The aim here is to investigate the effects of AQP4 associated with SAE and reveal its underlying mechanism causing cognitive impairment. The in vivo experimental results reveal that AQP4 in peripheral blood of patients with SAE is up-regulated, also the cortical and hippocampal tissue of cecal ligation and perforation (CLP) mouse brain has significant rise in AQP4.

Some developing data support the vasoconstrictor agent administration as a potential risk factor; however, synthesis of available evidence has not been completed. Comprehensive tactics were employed to search electronic databases PubMed, Web of Science, and Ovid Embase for data on vasoconstrictor agent administration associated with PI in ICU patients.

Methods: In this cohort study, the data of 3059 participants with cerebral infarction were collected from the Medical Information Mart for Intensive Care (MIMIC)-III and the MIMIC-IV database. After propensity score matching (PSM) on age and gender, 2085 people were involved in and divided into the alive group ( = 1390) and the dead group ( = 695) based on the results of follow-up.
Cerebral ischemic stroke (CIS) is a significant cause of disability and death. Inflammation usually occurs after CIS and accelerates cellular damage. NLRP3 plays a key role in the formation of CIS‑associated inflammasome.

However, the mechanisms underlying hyperexcitability of neurons are not fully understood. Voltage-gated sodium channels (VGSC or Nav), which are involved in the formation of excitable cell's action potential and can directly influence the excitability of neural networks, have been implicated in AD-related abnormal neuronal hyperactivity and higher incidence of spontaneous non-convulsive seizures.

Our preliminary experiment showed that APS-Ⅱ (10 kDa) was the main immunologically active component of APSs. However, the characteristic structure related to activity of APS-Ⅱ needs further verification and clarification.

Aberrant expression of NEAT1 was found after the injury of ischemia-reperfusion, but the mechanism was not fully understood.
Methods: The expression of NEAT1 and Mfn2 were detected in BV-2 and N2a cell with or without OGD/R-induced by qRT-PCR.
Background: Astragali Radix (AR), a common Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM), is commonly used for treating nephrotic syndrome (NS) in China. At present, the research on the efficacy of AR against NS is relative clearly, but there are fewer researches on the mechanism.
Purpose: The aim of this study was to evaluate the potential beneficial effects of AR in an adriamycin-induced nephropathy rat model, as well as investigate the possible mechanisms of action and potential lipid biomarkers.
Background: Gastric cancer (GC) is the most prevalent gastrointestinal tumor with an unfavorable clinical prognosis. GC patients are largely threatened owing to metastasis and drug resistance. Tumor angiogenesis plays an important role in the development of gastric cancer and is a challenge in the treatment of gastric cancer.

However, the current commodity grades of AR were only divided by diameter but not directly related to the growth period, which leads to the contradiction between the grade standard and the quality evaluation index. Therefore, solving this problem will be the key for the quality evaluation of AR.

The entorhinal cortex and perforant path are the earliest affected brain regions in AD. The perforant path is the most vulnerable circuit in the cortex with respect to both aging and AD.

The target constituent knock-out/knock-in technology has attracted much attention since it was proposed because of its unique advantages of regarding the extract of the formula as a whole, which can better reflect the characteristics of multi-component and multi-target integration and regulation of TCM. This method investigated the contribution of target constituent to the overall efficacy of a TCM by analyzing the changes in efficacy of the remaining formula before and after knock-out/knock-in of the target constitution.

Aim Of The Study: The present work was designed to reveal the active mechanism of HD against CI.
Materials And Methods: In our work, an integrated approach combined H-NMR based metabonomics and network pharmacology was applied to decipher the protection of HD against MCAO (middle cerebral artery occlusion)-induced CI rats.
Purpose: This paper aimed to study the active compounds of Astragali Radix (AR) in the treatment of adriamycin nephropathy (AN) by a combination of network pharmacology and transcriptomics.
Methods: The chemical compounds of AR were screened out by text mining and database searching. Pharm Mapper was used to predict the targets of these chemical compounds.
Nephrotic syndrome (NS) is one of the leading causes of end-stage renal failure. Unfortunately, reliable surrogate markers for early diagnosing and monitoring the entire progression of NS are as yet absent. A method using UPLC-Q exactive HR-MS was established for the serum metabolomic study of adriamycin-induced nephropathy in rats.

To reveal the influence of insomnia on the levels of the neurotransmitters including serotonin (5-HT), glutamic acid (Glu), γ-aminobutyric acid (GABA), noradrenaline (NE) and dopamine (DA), and to study the role of ZSS aqueous extract in the treatment of insomnia, an UPLC-ESI- MS/MS method was developed and validated for simultaneous determination of five neurotransmitters in the rat brain. The brain samples were pretreated by one-step direct protein precipitation with acetonitrile.

Methods: OGD-treated BMECs were used to mimic cerebral ischaemia in vitro. The expression of lncRNA NEAT1 and miR-377 and proteins including VEGFA, SIRT1, and BCL-XL were measured by real-time quantitative PCR (qRT-PCR) and western blot, respectively.
Astragali Radix (AR) has been used in the traditional Chinese medicine (TCM) in the treatment of various renal diseases for many years. In this study, a NMR based metabolomic approach coupled with biochemical assay and histopathological inspection had been employed to study the protective effect of total flavonoids (TFA) in AR against adriamycin-induced nephropathy using rats model. Multivariate analysis revealed that 11 of perturbed metabolites could be reversed by TFA, and the MetaboAnalyst analysis revealed that the anti-nephrotic syndrome effect of TFA was probably related with regulation of alanine, aspartate and glutamate metabolism, citrate cycle, pyruvate metabolism, cysteine and methionine metabolism and glyoxylate and dicarboxylate metabolism.
