Burkitt lymphoma is cytogenetically characterized by t(8;14)(q24;q32) translocation, sometimes accompanied by additional cytogenetic abnormalities. These abnormalities usually result in more aggressive clinical presentation and morphology of the disease. The current report presens a case of Burkitt lymphoma with t(8;14)(q24;q32) accompanied by partial tetrasomy of chromosome 1(47,XY,+1,i(1)(q10),t(8;14)(q24;q32)[2]/46,XY[18]).

The structure of the title compound, 1-ethyl-6-fluoro-1,4-dihydro-4-oxo-7-(piperazin-4-ium-1-yl)-1,8-naphthyridine-3-carboxylate trihydrate, C(15)H(17)FN(4)O(3).3H(2)O, has a zwitterion of enoxacin and three water molecules in the asymmetric unit. The zwitterions form sheets lying parallel to each other and are hydrogen bonded in a head-to-tail manner.
