Interprofessional education aims to foster healthcare students' ability to collaborate in interprofessional teams with the patients at the center of care as active participants. However, little is known about how patients experience this collaboration. Therefore, this study aimed to explore patients' experiences of being involved in the interprofessional team of healthcare students at a clinical training ward in Sweden.

Preparation, acid modification and catalytic activity of kaolinite nanotubes in α-pinene oxide isomerization.

In this work kaolinite nanotubes (KNT) were obtained from commercial kaolin AKF-78 (Uzbekistan) by starting material sequential intercalation by DMSO and methanol, followed by treatment with a cetyltrimethylammonium chloride solution. Acid functionalization of KNT for catalytic applications was successfully performed for the first time using a two-step treatment with piranha solution (HSO-HO), which resulted in the removal of organic impurities as synthetic artifacts and an increase in specific surface area by 3.9 times (up to 159 m g), pore volume by 1.

A group intervention for pregnant multiparas with fear of childbirth: A protocol of a feasibility study of the MOTIVE trial.

Background: Although research interest in fear of childbirth has increased, interventions targeting especially multiparas with fear of childbirth have been overlooked, although untreated fear can cause serious adverse effects on the mother and the whole family. Thus MOTIVE (Multiparas overcoming Childbirth Fear Through Intervention and Empowerment), an intervention for pregnant multiparas with fear of childbirth, was designed.

Methods: This is a protocol of a single-arm non-randomized feasibility study of the MOTIVE trial with a mixed-methods design.

The effectiveness of a dialogical family guidance intervention regarding child treatment response in families with a child with neurodevelopmental disorders.

Background: Children with neurodevelopmental disorders (NDD) can have emotional and behavioral symptoms affecting not only the child, but the whole family. Since family members have a strong impact on each other, studies highlight the need to offer effective family interventions to strengthen the wellbeing of the family. The aim of the current study is to clarify whether there is a difference between parents` opinions regarding their child`s emotional and behavioral condition immediately after Dialogical Family Guidance (DFG) has ended and after a three and six month follow-up.

Factors helping pregnant multiparas cope with fear of birth: A qualitative study.

Objective: This study describes factors helping pregnant multiparas cope with their fear of birth and aims to contribute insight into measures that could be taken to support and develop care for multiparas with fear of birth.

Methods: Purposive sampling was used for collecting data from closed discussion forums. An electronic questionnaire included structured background questions and qualitative open-ended questions related to the factors multiparas had found helped them cope with their fear of birth.

We systematically scoped the relevant studies on functioning after retirement using CINAHL, MEDLINE, Medic, and PubMed databases.

Optical Performance Assessment of Nanostructured Alumina Multilayer Antireflective Coatings Used in III-V Multijunction Solar Cells.

The optical performance of a multilayer antireflective coating incorporating lithography-free nanostructured alumina is assessed. To this end, the performance of single-junction GaInP solar cells and four-junction GaInP/GaAs/GaInNAsSb/GaInNAsSb multijunction solar cells incorporating the nanostructured alumina is compared against the performance of similar solar cells using conventional double-layer antireflective coating. External quantum efficiency measurements for GaInP solar cells with the nanostructured coating demonstrate angle-independent operation, showing only a marginal difference at 60° incident angle.

Aqueous phase reforming of birch and pine hemicellulose hydrolysates.

The current work focuses on studying the aqueous phase reforming (APR) of pine and birch hydrolysate obtained from waste wood by using organic acids available from biorefineries. Processing of representative synthetic mixtures was utilized in the work in order to support data interpretation related to the influence of different chemical compound and processing parameters on the APR of the actual hydrolysates. It was shown, that hydrogenation of the hydrolysates prior to APR was not feasible in the presence of formic acid, which ruled out one potential processing route.

Comparison of zero heat flux and double sensor thermometers during spinal anaesthesia: a prospective observational study.

Because of the difficulties involved in the invasive monitoring of conscious patients, core temperature monitoring is frequently neglected during neuraxial anaesthesia. Zero heat flux (ZHF) and double sensor (DS) are non-invasive methods that measure core temperature from the forehead skin. Here, we compare these methods in patients under spinal anaesthesia.

Consequences of Unexplained Experiences in the Context of Bereavement - Qualitative Analysis.

Unexplained experiences are common among bereaved people and are a natural part of grieving, but their consequences may affect their coping with grief. However, professionals lack awareness of these unexplained experiences, which may lead to an unnecessary pathologising of the experiences and a lack of opportunity for the bereaved to process their experiences in a safe environment. The study involved an inductive content analysis of 408 narratives of the consequences of unexplained experiences shared by 181 bereaved individuals.

Use of nanostructured alumina thin films in multilayer anti-reflective coatings.

A new method for modification of planar multilayer structures to create nanostructured aluminum oxide anti-reflection coatings is reported. The method is non-toxic and low-cost, being based on treatment of the coating with heated de-ionized water after the deposition of aluminum oxide. The results show that the method provides a viable alternative for attaining a low reflectance ARC.

Expanding the Scope of the Cleavable -(methoxy)oxazolidine Linker for the Synthesis of Oligonucleotide Conjugates.

Oligonucleotides modified by a 2'-deoxy-2'-(-methoxyamino) ribonucleotide react readily with aldehydes in slightly acidic conditions to yield the corresponding -(methoxy)oxazolidine-linked oligonucleotide-conjugates. The reaction is reversible and dynamic in slightly acidic conditions, while the products are virtually stable above pH 7, where the reaction is in a ''switched off-state''. Small molecular examinations have demonstrated that aldehyde constituents affect the cleavage rate of the -(methoxy)oxazolidine-linkage.
