Background: The number of patients depending on home mechanical ventilation (HMV) has increased substantially in Germany in recent years. These patients receive long-term care in different nursing facilities (nursing home, shared living community, private home). However, there are limited data available on the quality of care of HMV patients.

Purpose: Preclinical cancer models harboring amplification were more sensitive to adavosertib treatment, a WEE1 kinase inhibitor, than models without amplification. Introduction: Clinical observations of cancer patients treated with selinexor have reported high incidence of nausea and anorexia. The study objective was to investigate the adoption of prophylactic olanzapine for the prevention of nausea, vomiting and anorexia in cancer patients receiving selinexor and standard chemotherapy.

Methods: We retrospectively reviewed supportive care interventions in patients receiving selinexor and recorded frequency of adverse events (NCI-CTAE).

People on HMV have complex care needs and require support from an interprofessional team. Pan-Cancer Landscape and Analysis of ERBB2 Mutations Identifies Poziotinib as a Clinically Active Inhibitor and Enhancer of T-DM1 Activity.

We characterized the landscape and drug sensitivity of ERBB2 (HER2) mutations in cancers. In 11 datasets (n = 211,726), ERBB2 mutational hotspots varied across 25 tumor types. Common HER2 mutants yielded differential sensitivities to eleven EGFR/HER2 tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) in vitro, and molecular dynamics simulations revealed that mutants with a reduced drug-binding pocket volume were associated with decreased affinity for larger TKIs.

[Application for Inpatient Psychosomatic Rehabilitation: Frequency, Quality, and Approval Rates].

Background: There has been a steady increase in psychiatric primary diagnoses in medical rehabilitation services carried out by the statutory pension insurance (DRV). To date, no data are available regarding frequency, quality, and approval rates of applications for psychosomatic rehabilitation. Pension insurance physicians reviewing the application require sufficient information on rehabilitation-related needs, motivation, abilities, and prognosis of an insured person.

[Development and Evaluation of a Teacher Training for the Early Recognition of Depressive Symptoms in Students].

Background And Study Objectives: Although teachers play an important role regarding early recognition of psychological problems in students, they have been largely neglected in research as a target group for interventions. In this study, a training for teachers was developed that aimed at improving knowledge and self-efficacy/subjective competencies with regard to the early recognition of mental distress in secondary school students with a specific focus on depressive symptoms (by means of providing information, interviewing techniques, and important contact persons).

Methods: A training module comprising 4 h directed at teachers in secondary schools was developed and tested in 6 schools in a pre-post evaluation design.
