Background: Perforator flaps, now used in various parts of the body, serve as a crucial option for the reconstruction of defects in the hand region, often caused by tumor resections, trauma, or burns. Understanding the anatomy of hand perforators allows for the design of flaps closer to the defect, improving tissue compatibility without requiring the sacrifice of major arteries.

Methods: The study was conducted on 22 hands from 11 cadavers fixed in a 10% formaldehyde solution.

In this article, a series of calix[4]arenes derivatized with isatin derivatives at the phenolic-O position were synthesized as potential theranostic molecules for antitumor therapy. The cytotoxic mechanism of action of the synthesized compounds was determined by Alamar Blue assay and flow cytometry using MCF-7, MDA-MB-231, DLD1, HeLa and A549 human cancer cell lines and their ability to penetrate into PNT1A healthy epithelial cells. To detect DNA damage, the Comet test was applied after the synthesized compounds interacted with the cells.

A novel and efficient protocol for the microwave-assisted synthesis of diversely substituted 2,2'-bisbenzimidazol-5,6'-dicarboxylic acid (BIMCA) from the reaction of 3,4-diaminobenzoic acid with oxalic acid has been developed, which proceeds through sequential nucleophilic addition and electrophilic substitution in accordance with the Philips method. The synthetic utility of this strategy was demonstrated by the concise, one-pot synthesis of (BIMCA) and metal complexes. (BIMCA) with a [{Fe(salen)}O] Schiff base ligand complex and new benzimidazole coordination compounds with double oxygen [(BIMCA){Fe(salen)}] ligand complexes were obtained.

In this study, 4-sulfo-1,8-naphthalimide calixarene of derivatives were prepared (3 and 4) then transparent biofilms of the Ag salts of these compounds were formed in the presence of hyaluronic acid (HA), and antimicrobial properties were investigated. In chemosensor studies, the sensing ability behavior of 3 and 4 towards some cations and anions was investigated by fluorescence spectroscopy. It was observed that the prepared chemosensors show selectivity towards Hg(II) and Cr(VI).

We study the adsorption of trivalent neodymium on floating arachidic acid films at the air-water interface by two complementary surface specific probes, sum frequency generation spectroscopy and X-ray fluorescence near total reflection. In the absence of background ions, neodymium ions compensate for the surface charge of the arachidic acid film at a bulk concentration of 50 μM without any charge reversal. Increasing the bulk concentration to 1 mM does not change the neodymium surface coverage but affects the interfacial water structure significantly.

Isolated plasma contains active substances that cause the activation of various growth factors for the processes of tissue repair or regeneration, has an anti- inflammatory effect, activates angiogenesis, and reduces the risk of infectious complications. Platelet-rich plasma is actively used to stimulate bone regeneration, heal wounds and ulcers on the skin, enhance reconstruction of the larynx and trachea, and ameliorate urethral damage, among other uses.
