Objective: The aim of this study was to evaluate the efficacy and safety of transorbital neuroendoscopic surgery (TONES) in the management of sphenoid wing meningiomas (SWMs) with cavernous sinus and orbital invasion.
Methods: The authors conducted a retrospective review of 32 patients with SWMs treated at Gazi University using TONES from October 2019 to May 2023. The study includes clinical applications to elucidate the endoscopic transorbital approach.

Background: The aim of this study was to retrospectively evaluate patients who underwent surgery in our department for radial nerve lesions in terms of surgical outcomes.
Methods: Thirty-eight patients were admitted to our department with radial nerve lesion. Twenty-seven of the patients had entrapment neuropathy and 11 had radial nerve injury secondary to other traumas.

Aim: In recent years, extended endoscopic endonasal approach (EEEA) has been used as an alternative to transcranial approaches in the treatment of anterior midline skull base lesions. We retrospectively reviewed our cases operated using this technique and compared the results with current literature.
Method: The data of 24 patients who were operated using EEEA in our department between 2010-2018 were retrospectively analyzed.
Intracranial aspergillosis is a rare infectious disease of the central nervous system with high mortality rates. Our aim is to present 3 cases of intracranial aspergillosis who were surgically treated with intracavitary amphotericin B administration. First case was a 21-year-old male patient.

We reviewed a total of 51 patients with tuberculous spondylitis of the spine who were treated by percutaneous abscess drainage or radical surgical debridement with chemotherapy, and of whom 16 randomly selected patients also received adjuvant HBO therapy and 35 did not. Serological markers were monitored in the course of treatment.
View Article and Find Full Text PDFObjective: This prospective study was performed to evaluate the safety and efficacy of polyetheretherketone (PEEK) cages packed with demineralized bone matrix (DBM) mixed with autologous blood and curettage microchip material for treatment of multilevel cervical disc disease and spondylosis without the use of plates, screws or autogenous iliac crest bone graft.
Material And Methods: Sixteen patients underwent multilevel anterior cervical discectomy and fusion (ACDF) for a total of 42 levels. Minimum follow-up was 18 months.
The proinflammatory mediator (PIM) levels were assessed in surgically removed samples of herniated cervical intervertebral discs. The objective of this study was to investigate if there is a correlation between the levels of PIMs in disc material and myelopathy associated with cervical intervertebral disc herniation and spondylosis. The role of proinflammatory mediators in the degeneration of intervertebral disc and the inflammatory effects of disc herniations on radicular pain has been previously published.
