Unlabelled: Osteosarcoma (OS) bone tumor of childhood although the etiology of OS has not been fully elucidated, there is evidence linking it with factors related to pubertal development. In recent years, plasma CNP concentration and height velocity in children and CNP have been implicated as an emerging new growth marker during childhood. We aimed to determine the serum NT-proCNP levels of patients with pediatric osteosarcoma and its relation with clinical-laboratory growth parameters and look for any correlation of serum NT-proCNP levels with different prognostic factors in childhood osteosarcoma.

To show the effects of tranexamic acid, which is a drug frequently used to control bleeding, on the hip joint and sciatic nerve in animal experiments. There were 15 rats in each of the 3 groups, with a total of 45 rats. In this study, the effects of tranexamic acid (TXA) on the knee's articular cartilage, anterior cruciate ligament (ACL), and joint capsule were assessed histologically. There were 15 rats in each of the 3 groups, totaling 45 rats. Intraarticular (IA) saline injections were applied for the first group, IA TXA injections for the second group, and intravenous (IV) TXA injections for the third group.

Osteoarthritis (OA) is a common, chronic, progressive, and multifactorial musculoskeletal system disease affecting millions of people around the world. Despite the use of several treatment modalities, the search for a disease modifying drug continuous. Recent evidence suggest involvement of C-type natriuretic peptide (CNP) signaling in induction of chondroprotective pathways.

Endochondral ossification is under the regulation of endocrine, paracrine and otocrine factors including transforming growth factor-β superfamily members, fibroblast growth factors, retinoids, products of hedgehog gene, parathyroid hormone-related peptide, molecules involved in cell adhesion, and extracellular matrix components. Natriuretic peptide receptor-B, and its ligand C-type natriuretic peptide have also been implicated in the regulation of limb bone development. Results of recent studies are promising in terms of systemic elevation of C-type natriuretic peptide level inducing growth.
