In this case, a 26-year-old male patient with major burns with a positive blood culture for is presented. A rare bacterium, , and , was detected in the blood culture of a patient who was hospitalized due to major burn trauma and had delayed wound healing and had no graft take.

This retrospective cohort study included the records of adult patients who presented with hand burns between July 1, 2020, and December 1, 2021. A total of 67 of 1578 burn patients who attended the clinic were included in this study.

Therefore, adherence to the developed algorithms is an important issue. This study aimed to determine deficiencies in different aspects of the implementation of these algorithms during the pre-admission diagnosis and treatment processes of patients referred to our burn center.

In the absence of diffusion from the avascular wound base, such as in areas above the bone/tendon, oxygen delivery from the lateral edges of the scaffold is important. This study compared the oxygen permeability of skin scaffolds, currently commercially available in Turkey (Nevelia®, MatriDerm®, and Pelnac®), in the lateral plane.

While waiting for spontaneous closure increases the risk of hypertrophic scar and keloid, early excision and grafting pose the risk of donor site wound and permanent color differences. Unlike many studies in the literature, the current study was planned in a way to minimize factors other than burn wounds to investigate the effect of adding hyperbaric oxygen (HBO2) therapy to conventional treatment in deep second-degree burn wounds.

Material And Methods: A 10-year retrospective study was conducted on 77 paediatric patients hospitalized for hot body burns at Gazi Yaşargil Training and Research Hospital Burn Center.
Results: Of those patients with hot body burns, 72.
Advanced modalities are used for wounds where conventional treatment is insufficient in diabetic foot patients. In this study, we investigated the effects of using Epidermal growth factor (EGF) and NPWTmodalities alone or in combination on the frequency and level of amputation. In the retrospective study, which included 286 patients in total, 76 patients were referred with the decision of amputation or amputation was planned during hospitalization.

Material And Methods: A retrospective evaluation was made using the information of 419 hospitalized burns patients, including demographic data, degree and percentage of burn injury, cause and mechanism of burn injury, morbidity and mortality. Burn mechanisms were grouped as thermal burns (flame, boiling liquid, contact), chemical burns and electrical burns.
Introduction: As did many other nations, the Turkish government implemented precautions and lockdown measures in response to the rapid spread of the COVID-19 viral infection. The pandemic has caused millions of deaths globally, resulted in the development of comorbidities, and negatively affected national health care systems. The increased workload at hospitals and spread of the virus among health care professionals have resulted in delays in health care services delivery.

Background: This research aims to retrospectively evaluate the effectiveness and safety of dermal substitute (DS), Nevelia®, for the treatment of severely burned patients.
Methods: Twenty severely burned patients were enrolled in this study between May 2017 and May 2018. After escharotomy of the wound, the treatment protocol was applied following a two-step procedure -DS implantation followed by split-thickness skin graft (STSG) application.
Objective: To evaluate the effect of a supplementary nutritional product containing arginine, glutamine and β-hydroxy-β-methylbutyrate (HMB) on the nutritional parameters of patients with major burns.
Methods: In a total of 40 patients with major burns treated in the Burns Unit, standard nutritional support was administered to 20 patients, and the study product was added to the standard nutritional support of the remaining 20 patients. The biochemical laboratory test results and burn severity were recorded on the first day of treatment and on Days 14 and 28.
