The calcium voltage-gated channel subunit alpha 1 H () is a gene present in eukaryotic cells located on chromosome 16 that encodes the T-type calcium channels, which are important for calcium influx and depolarization of cells. Pathogenic variants in cause autosomal dominant susceptibility to idiopathic generalized epilepsy 6 (OMIM: 611942), which is a broad term that encompasses several common seizure phenotypes. In this article, we reported a Saudi female with a heterozygous variant in the gene (OMIM: 607904) who had epilepsy and hearing loss.

Several surgical techniques for CoA repair have traditionally been applied. However, late complications, including re-CoA and pseudoaneurysm formation, are not uncommon.

Background: Classic teachings emphasize aortic regurgitation as the most common complication associated with discrete subaortic stenosis. We hypothesized that significant aortic stenosis may also be an important valve lesion associated with this condition.

Cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) is currently well recognized in clinical practice for the diagnosis and management of cardiovascular diseases. CMR is helpful in the diagnosis and prognosis of patients with myocardial infarction. The high spatial resolution of CMR enables accurate assessment of tissue characterization in various types of cardiomyopathy.

The primary objective of this study was to examine whether abnormalities of biventricular function play a role in exercise limitation in patients with rTOF.
Methods: This was a retrospective review of 99 adult patients with rTOF.
Adults with repaired tetralogy of Fallot and significant chronic pulmonary regurgitation are at risk for progressive right ventricular (RV) dilatation and dysfunction. The assessment of RV function is important in the management in these patients. There is still a lack of an adequate geometric model to quantify RV function by echocardiography.
