Background: A different ethos with respect to the perception of medical ethics prevails in societies in transition such as those in the Arabian Peninsula, which makes it difficult to apply international principles of bioethics in medical practice. This study aimed to develop and psychometrically test an instrument that measures physicians' awareness of bioethics and medical law and their attitudes towards the practice of medical ethics. Additionally, it examined physician correlates influencing the awareness of bioethics.

Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates how different ionic compositions, particularly anions like Cl- and SO4(2-), affect phosphorus (P) sorption and release in soil, highlighting a gap in prior research on this topic.
  • Using livestock compost and various phosphorus sources, soil was treated with different salts (NaCl, Na2SO4, KCl, K2SO4) to analyze their impact on P release through multiple water extractions.
  • Results showed that sulfate salts consistently released more P than chloride salts, with the order of P release influenced by the type of salt and phosphorus source, suggesting that sulfate may have a more significant effect on P dynamics in soil than previously understood.
