Subcutaneous methotrexate versus oral form for the treatment and prophylaxis of chronic plaque psoriasis.

Psoriasis is a common inflammatory skin disorder with complex pathomechanisms. Methotrexate (MTX) is an antiproliferative and immunomodulating agent that control psoriasis. The aim of this study is to compare the efficacy of MTX and tolerability to MTX by oral route versus subcutaneous (SC) route.
