Antimicrobial resistance (AMR) is a critical global health challenge, and Somalia is no exception. This update examines the current status of AMR in Somalia, highlighting the prevalent patterns of resistance, contributing factors, and significant health impacts. Despite limited surveillance data, evidence suggests rising resistance to key antibiotics, exacerbated by inadequate healthcare infrastructure, overuse of antimicrobials, and lack of regulatory oversight.

This study investigates the influence of sex and age on common liver function tests (LFTs) and renal function tests (RFTs) in healthy adults in Mogadishu, Somalia.
Methods: A community-based cross-sectional study was carried out from October 2022 to January 2023 on a randomly selected sample of 255 healthy participants from Mogadishu, Somalia.
The Internet of things (IoT) is a network of technologies that support a wide variety of healthcare workflow applications to facilitate users' obtaining real-time healthcare services. Many patients and doctors' hospitals use different healthcare services to monitor their healthcare and save their records on the servers. Healthcare sensors are widely linked to the outside world for different disease classifications and questions.

IoMT enables many sensors to collect patient data from various locations and send it to a distributed hospital for further study. IoMT provides patients with a variety of paid programmes to help them keep track of their health problems.

F51 were investigated. The results demonstrated that the synergistic action of salicylic acid and succinic acid could effectively enhance the assimilation of nitrate and significantly improve lutein production.

This study conducted the first investigation on the efficiency of using physics-based and data-driven models for the dynamic optimisation of long-term bioprocess. More specifically, this study exploits a predictive kinetic model and a cutting-edge data-driven model to compute open-loop optimisation strategies for the production of microalgal lutein during a fed-batch operation.

Ozone (O3 ) treatment of polyethylene terephthalate (PET) in distilled water was performed in the presence and absence of calcium (Ca(2+) ). PET was oxidized and thus carboxylic and hydroxyl functional groups were introduced on its surface after O3 treatment, regardless of the presence or absence of Ca(2+) . In the case of O3 treatment with Ca(2+) , PET surface was modified with Ca(2+) .
