Background: Cryptogenic cerebrovascular stroke can be defined as an ischemic stroke that lacks a clear cause, even after a thorough evaluation. It should be distinguished from the embolic stroke of undetermined source (ESUS), a subgroup that includes cardio-embolic sources. This study aims to assess left atrial function through two-dimensional speckle tracking echocardiography (2D-STE) to determine its potential association with cryptogenic stroke and its predictive value for subclinical atrial fibrillation (AF).

The purpose of this study was to assess the tetanus patients we have been monitoring over the past two years in Somalia, a country with a protracted civil conflict, extreme poverty, and restricted access to hospital, social security, and public health facilities.
Methods: This study includes tetanus patients who were admitted to the Recep Tayyip Erdoğan Training and Research Hospital in Mogadishu, Somalia, Turkey between January 1, 2022, and November 1, 2023.
Congenital rubella syndrome (CRS) is a serious condition with a high rate of morbidity. It is currently a rare disorder, especially in developed countries, because of universal vaccination campaigns. However, it remains a public health concern in developing countries.

But throughout this time, antibiotics that had been successful against particular microorganisms started to lose their effectiveness due to rising inappropriate use brought on by ignorance, negligent attitudes, and improper methods. Our goal in conducting this study was to ascertain the knowledge, attitudes, and practices of doctors with relation to the use of antibiotics in light of the growing global and Sub-Saharan African problem of antimicrobial resistance.

Objectives: The objective of this study is to collect a 30-day mortality and morbidity of primary BMS combined with cholecystectomy, ventral hernia repair, or hiatal hernia repair.
Setting: This is as an international, multicenter, prospective, and observational audit of patients undergoing primary BMS combined with one or more additional procedures.
Adults who have had varicella zoster virus (VZV) infection may experience the unusual consequence of necrotizing fasciitis (NF), which is brought on by a secondary bacterial infection. The optimum approach to treat this medical condition is with a precise diagnosis, quick antibiotic therapy, and immediate surgery. We present 36-year-old case of post chickenpox NF in an immunocompetent male adult patient by diagnosing clinical and laboratory investigations.

In this study we tested an alternative view, assuming that self-control also rests on the ability to anticipate emotions directed toward future consequences. Using a behavioral within-subject design including an emotion regulation task measuring the ability to voluntarily engage anticipated emotions towards an upcoming event and a self-control task in which subjects were confronted with a variety of everyday conflict situations, we examined the relationship between self-control and anticipated emotions.

Although the lower extremities are most commonly affected, rare forms can also be seen from time to time. The diagnostic triad of swelling in the affected area, multiple sinus formation, and purulent discharge with grains are typical.

Zinc (Zn) is an important trace element with a wide list of functions in the male reproductive system. The aim of this study was to estimate the effects of different forms of zinc supplementation, as organic (Zn methionine), nano (nano Zn oxide) as indirect way to minimized it impact on environment, and inorganic (Zn sulphate) on physiological parameters, semen quality, anti-oxidative status, hormonal profiles of male rabbits subjected to server heat stress.

We report a case of a 25-year-old male who sustained a pelvic injury caused by a single bullet which led to a bilateral acetabular fracture, concomitant with a colon injury treated on an emergency basis by a diverting colostomy; acetabular fractures were treated conservatively by traction. After the patient recovered from the abdominal injury, he was presented with bilateral hip pain and limited motion; plain radiographs showed bilateral hip arthritis with proximal migration of the femoral head and bilateral acetabular defect classified as Paprosky type ⅢA.
