Objectives: To evaluate the efficacy and safety of Carbetocin compared to oxytocin in prevention of postpartum hemorrhage (PPH) after low-risk cesarean delivery (CD).

Search Strategy: Screening of Medline, Web Of Science, Scopus, Google scholar, and clinical trials registry till January 2024 using the key words related to carbetocin, blood loss, PPH, Cesarean section and their MeSH terms was done.

Selection Criteria: This study included all RCTs conducted on women with low risk for developing PPH after CD and compared the administration of carbetocin to oxytocin without any language limitation.

Objective: This study aimed to evaluate the value of laser acupuncture (LA) on forearm bone mineral density (BMD) and wrist pain in osteoporotic postmenopausal women.

Methods: Sixty-eight postmenopausal women diagnosed with osteoporosis were randomly allocated equally to one of two sets. The drug-only group received calcium and vitamin D 3 supplement containing fluoride daily for 12 weeks, whereas the drug/LA group received LA therapy for 20 minutes per session, three sessions weekly, in addition to the same supplementation.

This randomised controlled trial aimed to compare the effect of early and delayed pushing during the second stage of labour in women with occipitoposterior (OP) malposition. It included 184 nulliparous women with OP position randomised to early pushing in which women were allowed to push within one hour after full cervical dilatation or delayed pushing in which women were asked not to push for maximum of three hours or start pushing when the vertex was visible. The primary outcome was successful vaginal delivery.

Objective: To compare the efficacy and safety of rectal misoprostol with intrauterine misoprostol in the reduction of blood loss during and after cesarean delivery.

Methods: Ninety-eight pregnant women, all candidates for elective cesarean delivery, were equally randomized into two groups: the rectal group (received preoperative misoprostol rectally) and the intrauterine group (received intrauterine misoprostol after the delivery of the placenta). The primary outcome was the estimated blood loss (EBL) during cesarean delivery.
