An accurate estimate of scour depth downstream of culvert outlets is essential for culvert design integrity. Inadequate designs can result in structural failures, leading to increased costs for maintenance and rehabilitation. The present research evaluates the efficacy of numerical models in predicting scour depth and its location downstream of circular culverts under variable flow conditions.

Multiple rows of feathers, known as the covert feathers, contour the upper and lower surfaces of bird wings. These feathers have been observed to deploy passively during high angle of attack maneuvers and are suggested to play an aerodynamic role. However, there have been limited attempts to capture their underlying flow physics or assess the function of multiple covert rows.

This study employed physical modelling to investigate alternation in culvert outlets under different conditions, including variations in culvert shape, blockage, and flow discharge during steady and unsteady flow conditions. Box and circular culverts were examined with 0%, 15%, and 30% blockage rates at the culvert inlet.

For instance, they affect the microbial community composition, the speed at which soil organic matter breaks down and becomes minerals. Moreover, the growth and physiological activity of plants are directly influenced by the ST.

In this research, the behavior of children and their parents in terms of hygiene and precautions before and during the COVID-19 pandemic was investigated.
Methodology: The focus of the present research was on sanitation facilities, particularly access to end-use of water for hand washing.
Bio-inspired flow control strategies can provide a new paradigm of efficiency and adaptability to overcome the operational limitations of traditional flow control. This is particularly useful to small-scale uncrewed aerial vehicles since their mission requirements are rapidly expanding, but they are still limited in terms of agility and adaptability when compared to their biological counterparts, birds. One of the flow control strategies that birds implement is the deployment of covert feathers.
