Ovarian insufficiency is one of the common reproductive disorders affecting women with limited therapeutic aids. Mesenchymal stem cells have been investigated in such disorders before yet, the exact mechanism of MSCs in ovarian regeneration regarding their epigenetic regulation remains elusive. The current study is to investigate the role of the bone marrow-derived mesenchymal stem cells (BM-MSCs) lncRNA (Neat-1 and Hotair1) and miRNA (mir-21-5p, mir-144-5p, and mir-664-5p) in mitigating ovarian granulosa cell apoptosis as well as searching BM-MSCs in altering the expression of ovarian and hypothalamic IGF-1 - kisspeptin system in connection to HPG axis in a cyclophosphamide-induced ovarian failure rat model.

With the rapid development of gene editing technology, the study of spermatogonial stem cells (SSCs) holds great significance in understanding spermatogenesis and its regulatory mechanism, developing transgenic animals, gene therapy, infertility treatment and protecting rare species. Biogenesis of lysosome-related organelles complex 1 subunit 1 () is believed to have anti-brucella potential. Exploring the impack of on goat SSCs not only helps investigate the ability of to promote SSCs proliferation, but also provides a cytological basis for disease-resistant breeding research.

Introduction: Optic neuropathy is an affection of the optic neurons, which ends with blindness and occurs either primarily due to direct affection of the optic nerve or secondarily as a complication of chronic diseases and/or adverse effects of their therapy. The search for novel therapeutic tools is crucial in addressing the limited therapeutic approaches for optic neuropathy. Therefore, the present study was developed to investigate the possible ameliorative effect of tempol against cisplatin-induced optic neuropathy and its underlying mechanism.

Cyclophosphamide (CP) is a cytotoxic, cell cycle, non-specific, and antiproliferative drug. This study aimed to address the toxic effects of CP on male fertility and the possible ameliorative role of hesperidin (HSP). Thirty-two adult albino rats were randomly divided into four groups, namely, the negative control, HSP, CP-treated, and CP+HSP-treated groups.

DFU was usually characterized with delayed healing as the diabetic neuropathy, angiopathy, and ulcer concomitant infections, among them, are multidrug-resistant (MDR) bacteria that emphasized the clinical importance for developing new therapeutic strategy with safe and effective alternatives for the antibiotics to overcome DFU-MDR bacterial infection. Bacteriophage therapy was considered a novel approach to eradicate the MDR, but its role in the polymicrobial infection of the DFU remains elusive.

This work investigated the probable protective effect of an ethanolic extract on the hepatotoxicity and neurotoxicity accompanied by neurobehavioral deficits caused by lead in rats. Rats in four groups were orally administered distilled water, ethanolic extract of (300 mg/kg BW daily), lead (100 mg/kg BW daily for 3 months), and lead + extract. The results demonstrated that lead exposure resulted in elevated locomotor activities and sensorimotor deficits associated with a decrease in brain dopamine levels.

Background: this study examined the metformin (MF) and/or chitosan stabilized selenium nanoparticles (CH-SeNPs) efficacy to alleviate the male reproductive function impairment in a high-fat diet feed with low-dose streptozotocin (HFD/STZ) induced type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) diabetic rat model.
Methods: control non-diabetic, HFD/STZ diabetic, HFD/STZ+MF, HFD/STZ+CH-SeNPs, and HFD/STZ+MF+CH-SeNPs rat groups were used. After 60 days, semen evaluation, hormonal assay, enzymatic antioxidant, lipid peroxidation, testis histopathology, and the steroidogenesis-related genes mRNA expressions were assessed.
The present study was carried out to explore a novel strategy with the hypothesis that the combined treatment with standard antidiabetic drug metformin (MET) and chitosan stabilized nanoparticles (CTS-Se-NPs) may have a potential role on insulin level, hepatic damage and apoptosis, and cardiac injury markers of type 2 diabetes mellitus (T2DM) in rat model. T2DM was induced by a high fat diet (HFD) for 8 weeks and a single injection of a low dose streptozotocin (STZ) (35 mg/kg) in Sprague Dawley rats. A total number of one hundred rats were divided into five groups; the first served as a control (non-diabetic) group and the other four groups served as diabetic rats.
