Background And Objective: The feasibility and safety of a robotic approach for postchemotherapy retroperitoneal lymph node dissection (PC-RPLND) in testicular cancer have been demonstrated, but data on long-term oncological outcomes of this procedure are limited. Our aim was to evaluate oncological outcomes following robotic PC-RPLND in this setting.

Methods: This retrospective cohort study included consecutive patients with testicular cancer treated with robotic PC-RPLND at 11 academic centers worldwide between 2011 and 2023.

Objective: To evaluate the perioperative as well as early oncological outcomes of patients undergoing robotic retroperitoneal lymph node dissection for treatment of testicular cancer.

Methods: We conducted a prospective consecutive case series of patients undergoing robotic assisted retroperitoneal lymph node dissection for metastatic testicular cancer between May 2018 and July 2021 at our institution. Data were collected on patient and tumour characteristics, intraoperative and postoperative parameters, and functional and oncological outcomes.

Objectives: To compare the diagnostic performance and radiological staging impact of Ga-prostate-specific membrane antigen positron emission tomography/computed tomography (PSMA PET/CT) compared to Tc whole-body bone scan (WBBS) for the detection of skeletal metastasis in the primary staging of prostate cancer (PCa).

Patients And Methods: A prospective institutional database was retrospectively examined for patients who underwent both PSMA PET and WBBS within a 1 week interval for PCa primary staging. Lesions were categorised as 'negative', 'equivocal', or 'definite' based on nuclear medicine physician interpretation.

This step-by-step article demonstrates our approach to robot-assisted laparoscopic revision of a bladder neck sited artificial urinary sphincter (AUS) for a spinal cord injured patient. The bladder neck location of an AUS in the spinal cord injured demographic is ideal to minimise urethral complications and urinary tract infections, whilst the transabdominal approach reduces the risk of wound breakdown that can occur via the typical perineal incision for AUS insertion. The accompanying video will guide viewers as to our minimally invasive technique for cuff revision in the event of secondary surgery for recurrent urinary incontinence.

Purpose: To compare the efficacy and time-to-discharge of two methods of trial of void (TOV): bladder infusion versus standard catheter removal.

Methods: Electronic searches for randomized controlled trials (RCTs) comparing bladder infusion versus standard catheter removal were performed using multiple electronic databases from dates of inception to June 2020. Participants underwent TOV after acute urinary retention or postoperatively after intraoperative indwelling catheter (IDC) placement.

To perform a systematic review and meta-analysis and to assess the clinical benefit of prophylactic pelvic drain (PD) placement after robot-assisted laparoscopic prostatectomy (RALP) with pelvic lymph node dissection (PLND) in patients with localized prostate cancer. An electronic search of databases, including Scopus, Medline, and EMbase, was conducted for articles that considered postoperative outcomes with PD placement and without PD (no drain) placement after RALP. The primary outcome was rate of symptomatic lymphocele (requiring intervention) and secondary outcomes were complications as described by the Clavien-Dindo classification system.

Prostate cancer is the most common solid organ malignancy in men in the USA with an annual incidence of 105 and an annual mortality rate of 19 per 100,000 people. With the advent of PSA screening, the majority of prostate cancer diagnosed is organ confined. Recent studies including the SPCG-4 and PIVOT trials have demonstrated a survival benefit for those undergoing active treatment for localized prostate cancer.

Testicular germ cell tumors (GCTs) are characterized into seminomas (SGCTs) and non-seminomatous testicular germ cell tumors (NSGCTs). Serum tumor markers (STMs) play an important role in testicular cancer as they provide useful information for diagnosis, staging, and detection of recurrence. Nonetheless, additional tumor markers for early diagnosis and therapeutic options are required to enhance specificity of serological diagnosis of testes cancers.

This article describes the influence of a peer education programme on skills development among 22 women participating in HIV prevention trials. Interviews were used to collect data on peer educator experiences and their opinions of the trainings. The training enhanced their agency and confidence to engage their family and community on health promotion, including HIV prevention research procedures, thus improving their self-esteem and communication skills.
