[Chase's amputation in a patient with melanoma on the index finger: about a case].

We report the case of a 40-year old patient referred by the Depatment of Dermatology at the Ibn Sina Hospital in Rabat for amputation of the index finger as a result of a melanoma diagnosed by biopsy. The amputation was performed according to Chase's method. Aesthetic and functional outcome was very good six months following surgical treatment.

[Pure internal subtalar dislocation: about a case].

Pure subtalar dislocation is a rare condition. We here report the case of a young patient presenting with pure internal subtalar dislocation as a result of a sport accident. He underwent orthopedic therapy achieving a good functional outcome.

[Role of Trauma Damage Control Orthopaedic in polytraumas: a case of pelvic disjunction associated with hip dislocation with vascular injury].

The knowledge of the pathophysiology of patients with severe trauma and the hemodynamic and inflammatory consequences of initial surgical management has led many surgeons to change their approach to the treatment of patients with severe polytraumas associated with lesions of the pelvis or of limbs by integrating the principles of sequential treatment or Trauma Damage Control Orthopaedic (TDCO). We report the case of a patient involved in a public road accident, admitted to hospital in a state of shock with pelvic disjunction and hip dislocation complicated by vascular injury in the same limb. Our approach was based on TDCO concepts by favoring external fixation of the pelvis after hip dislocation reduction.

[Elbow abscess revealing cat-scratch disease: about a case].

Cat-scratch disease (CSD) is a common cause of chronic benign lymphadenopathy in the child and the young adult. Bartonella henselae is the agent responsible for this disease. Common symptoms include regional lymphadenopathy associated with fever.

[Surgical treatment of the humeral pallet fractures in adults].

The treatment of humeral pallet fractures is mainly based on reconstruction surgery with osteosynthesis. We collected the data of 40 patients with humeral pallet fracture from our archives in the Department of Orthopaedics and Traumatology at the Ibn Sina University Hospital, Rabat from january 2012 to december 2014. The aim of our study was to highlight the clinical, therapeutic and evolutionary features of these fractures as well as the challenges in managing these complex fractures and in evaluating the results.

[Trochanteric tuberculosis, an often difficult diagnosis].

Trochanteric tuberculosis is a rare disease (<2% of osteoarticular tuberculosis), even in high-endemic countries. It is characterized by insidious symptoms. For this reason, diagnosis is often delayed.

Pneumothorax complicating isolated clavicle fracture.

Isolated clavicle fractures are among the commonest of traumatic fractures in the emergency department. Complications of isolated clavicle fractures are rare. Pneumothorax has been described as a complication of a fractured clavicle only rarely in English literature.

Non-traumatic myositis ossificans circumscripta: A diagnosis trap.

Myositis ossificans circumscripta (MOC) is a benign condition of non-neoplastic heterotopic bone formation in the muscle or soft tissue. Trauma plays a role in the development of MOC, thus, non-traumatic MOC is very rare. Although MOC may occur anywhere in the body, the lesions are localized predominantly in the high-risk sites of injury, such as the thigh, buttock, and elbow.

Exceptional laceration of flexor digitorum tendons proximal to a severe palmar hand wound: a case report with literature review.

Hand wounds are common, poor functional outcomes are marked because of sequelae inherent to posttraumatic and postoperative complications. Suitable surgery repair in emergency can ensure best results. Classically, tendon's injuries occur near the injured area and their repair depend on traumatized zone, sutures techniques, associated lesions and surgeon's abilities.
