Introduction: The effective deployment of rapid on-site cytologic evaluation (ROSE) requires the availability of a cytologist/pathologist. Several studies investigated the capability of trained pulmonologists to assess the adequacy and validity of transbronchial needle aspiration (TBNA) samples. This study aimed to determine the validity and adequacy of ROSE by pulmonologists (P-ROSE).

Methods: In Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, we recently encountered a foodborne botulism outbreak that, luckily, was discovered early. In Prince Sultan Military Medical city, we admitted, during a period of approximately 3 weeks, 15 probable cases, 2 of which were excluded due to more likely alternative diagnoses.
Pulmonary metastasectomy (PM) is consensually performed in a parenchyma-sparing manner to preserve functionally healthy lung tissue. However, this may increase the risk of local recurrence at the surgical margin. Laser assisted pulmonary metastasectomy (LPM) is a relatively recent innovation that is especially useful to resect multiple metastatic pulmonary nodules.

This analysis's objectives were to investigate the characteristics of kidney stones in Eastern Saudi Arabia and to provide the following findings: urinary stone composition, gender and age distribution, seasonal variations in stone formation, coexisting diseases linked to stone development, and urinary stone incidence. With comparisons to European and American populations, the primary risk factors for nephrolithiasis in Asian populations are to be determined through this systematic review and meta-analysis.

CPAP therapy is a simple and effective treatment option for OSAS patients. To overcome the clinical and prognostic limitations of AHI-as a sole index of OSAS-the Baveno classification was recently set out and introduced into clinical practice.

Aim: The purpose of this survey is to determine the preferred age of hypospadias repair patients, as well as the preferred surgical techniques among Saudi urologic and pediatric surgeons.
Materials And Methods: An E-mail questionnaire was sent to urologic and pediatric surgeons throughout Saudi Arabia.

Background: Many countries are experiencing an increasing prevalence of childhood obesity and this needs to be carefully addressed.
Aims: To determine the prevalence of overweight and obesity and the sociodemographic factors and lifestyle risk behaviours associated with obesity among in-school children in Al Buraimi Governorate, Oman.
Methods: We conducted a cross-sectional study among 714 male and female in-school children aged 6-17 years in 14 government schools in Al Buraimi Governorate, Oman, from April to July 2019.
Brucellosis is an endemic zoonotic disease caused by intracellular gram-negative coccobacilli called . This infectious disease may implicate many farm animals and is transmissible to exposed humans. Brucellosis is potentially life-threatening and may lead to granulomatous multi-organ involvement with tendency to chronicity and recurrence.

It gives information on the patient's oxygen supply, oxygen consumption, and cardiac output. It plays an important role in early goal-directed treatment.

Liquid biopsy is important to get cell-tumour DNA (ctDNA), for subsequent utilisation as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis, prognosis, and treatment. In clinical oncology, ctDNA analysis is utilised in cancer screening.

It is estimated that approximately 145,600 new cases of large bowel cancer are diagnosed annually in the USA. MiRNA-223 and miRNA-182 have been reported in various cancers, such as lung, gastric, breast and colorectal cancer and proposed to be valid and reliable for diagnosis as well as prognosis.

As oxygen desaturation plays a key role in exercise limita-tions, a few new parameters integrating oxygen desaturation during exercise along with walk distance are necessary.

However, in cases with predominantly peribronchial pathology, such as sarcoidosis, TBLF is considered to be diagnostic in most cases. The present study examines whether transbronchial lung cryobiopsy (TBLC) is superior to TBLF in terms of diagnostic yield in cases of sarcoidosis.

Methods: In total, 185 patients with COVID-19 and suspected thromboembolic complications were classified into two groups based on the presence or absence of thromboembolic complications. Thromboembolic complications were categorized based on location.
Background: Local anaesthesia of the pharynx (LAP) was introduced in the era of rigid bronchoscopy (which was initially a conscious procedure under local anaesthetic), and continued into the era of flexible bronchoscopy (FB) in order to facilitate introduction of the FB. LAP reduces cough and gagging reflex, but its post-procedural effect is unclear. This prospective multicentre trial evaluated the effect of LAP on coughing intensity/time and patient comfort after FB, and the feasibility of FB under propofol sedation alone, without LAP.

This may be explained by the presence of hypoxia, severe systemic inflammatory response, immobilization due to intensive care unit (ICU) admission, and diffuse intravascular coagulation. We report three patients who were admitted to our respiratory ICU with acute severe respiratory distress syndrome (ARDS) requiring mechanical ventilation due severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2 infection, who developed severe limb ischemia during the course of the disease.

COVID-19 (coronavirus disease 2019) is a recently emerged pulmonary infection caused by severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus (SARS-CoV-2). It started in Wuhan, China, in December 2019 and led to a highly contagious disease. Since then COVID-19 continues to spread, causing exponential morbidity and mortality and threatening economies worldwide.
