OSA patients are at elevated risk for hypoxemia, cardiac arrhythmias, cardiorespiratory arrest, hypoxic encephalopathy, stroke and death during hospitalization. Clinical screening questionnaires are used to identify hospitalized patients with OSA; especially before surgery.
