Gliomas are a type of brain tumor that requires accurate monitoring for progression following surgery. The Brain Tumor Reporting and Data System (BT-RADS) has emerged as a potential tool for improving diagnostic accuracy and reducing the need for repeated operations. This prospective multicenter study aimed to evaluate the diagnostic accuracy and reliability of BT-RADS in predicting tumor progression (TP) in postoperative glioma patients and evaluate its acceptance in clinical practice.

However, this process requires multiple experimental attempts to select suitable electrospun properties and validate resulting mechanical responses. To overcome the time and cost constraints associated with this iterative procedure, Finite Element Analysis (FEA) can be applied using stable hyperelastic and viscoelastic models that describe the response of electrospun scaffolds under different conditions.

The scaffolds used for cardiac patches must mimic the viscoelastic behavior of the native tissue, which expands up to high deformation levels of its sedentary size during the systole segment of pumping blood. In our study, we exposed fabricated electrospun samples to repeated multistep tension by applying and removing deformation to mimic the mechanical behavior of helical fibered cardiac scaffolds. Since the fiber-based specimens exhibit viscoelastic behavior, the transient responses to constant deformation caused stress relaxation and stress recovery.

Background: Laparoscopic sleeve gastrectomy (LSG) is taking the lead as the most popular bariatric procedure in most regions of the world. Unlike other liquids, water is particularly affected by LSG. Because of its importance for safe hospital discharge, weight loss, and patients' lifestyle, we evaluated water tolerance after LSG.

Microcell-mediated transfer of chromosome 18 in the ovarian cancer cell line TOV21G induced in vitro and in vivo neoplastic suppression. Gene expression microarray profiling in TOV21G(+18) hybrids identified 14 candidate genes on chromosome 18 that were significantly overexpressed and therefore associated with neoplastic suppression.
