Honeybee products arouse interest in society due to their natural origin and range of important biological properties. Propolis (P) and royal jelly (RJ) attract scientists' attention because they exhibit antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, anti-bacterial, anti-tumor, and immunomodulatory abilities. In this study, we tested whether P and RJ could mitigate the adverse effects of cadmium (Cd) exposure, with particular emphasis on the reproductive function in female rats.

However, the process instability and low biohydrogen yields are still hindering the adoption of biohydrogen production plants at industrial scale. In this context, membrane-based biohydrogen production technologies, and in particular fermentative membrane bioreactors (MBRs) and microbial electrolysis cells (MECs), as well as downstream membrane-based technologies such as electrodialysis (ED), are suitable options to achieve high-rate biohydrogen production.

In this study, a novel dendritic silver-dendrites@ copper with hierarchical side-branches were synthesized through a two-pot rapid, facile, and green precipitation route. Characterization of the dendrites by transmission electron microscope (TEM), scanning electron microscope (SEM), dynamic light scattering (DLS), and X-ray diffraction spectroscopy (XRD) confirmed the proper preparation of dendritic AgCu nanostructure.

Cs was the main component of the cryogel while NFC was used as a filling agent to enhance the mechanical properties of the produced cryogel. Both Cs and NFC endow the cryogel with adsorption properties while Ag NPs enhances its antibacterial properties.

Membrane fouling is a common problem in membrane technology and causes detrimental effects for the applied membranes such as loss of integrity and productivity. Henceforward, we devoted this work to fabricate membranes that pose favored criteria in the direction of alleviating membrane fouling incidence. Herein, the fabricated membranes were traced via an assortment of both experimental and molecular modeling verifications to understand the mechanism of interaction.

Utilization of AC/zirconium oxide (ZrO) for the removal of 4-octylphenol (4-OP) from aqueous solution has been studied under simulated visible-light as a cost effective technique. To draw complete images for the prepared materials, a series of characterization methods was performed. Brunauer-Emmett-Teller (BET) data has proved that AC has high surface area and total pore volumes that are decreased after incorporation of ZrO.

Current therapeutic strategies for PD are mainly symptomatic and may cause motor complications, such as motor fluctuations and dyskinesia. Therefore, alternative medicine may offer an effective adjuvant treatment for PD.

A pelvic computed tomography (CT) scan demonstrated a fracture and a lytic expansile lesion within the right superior and inferior pubic rami. The diagnosis of "insufficiency fractures secondary to rheumatoid arthritis" was established.
