Acidosis and its associated pathologies predispose patients to develop cardiac arrhythmias and even cardiac arrest. These arrhythmias are assumed to be the result of membrane depolarization, however, the exact mechanism of depolarization during acidosis is not well defined. In our study, the model of quantum tunneling of protons is used to explain the membrane depolarization that occurs during acidosis.

Additionally, the classical mechanics are the main mechanics used to describe the function of the voltage-gated channels and their related abnormalities. However, the quantum mechanics should be considered to unravel new aspects in the voltage-gated channels and resolve the problems and challenges that classical mechanics cannot solve.

Case Presentation: We report a case of a 36-year-old female patient referred to the surgical team with obstructive jaundice for which she was investigated and found to have a common bile duct tumor showing proximal obstruction.
Introduction: Obesity is a major cause of metabolic and health disorders like diabetes mellitus (DM) and gastro esophageal reflux disease (GERD). Patients usually offered a professional preoperative consultation and objective information regarding the bariatric surgery type and the advantages and disadvantages of each type for best outcome and satisfaction.
Purpose: To study the patient response to preoperative advice and recommendation and the patient's decision to undergo the recommended bariatric surgery.
Introduction: The nasal columella is an important aesthetic and functional entity of the midface. Congenital absence of the nasal columella as an isolated anomaly is extremely rare.
Presentation Of Case: We present a case of total congenital aplasia of the nasal columella in a 3-month-old female infant.
