Early links in the chain of survival, including bystander cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and the use of an automated external defibrillator at the scene, are known to be of crucial importance, with strong evidence of increased survival rate with good neurological outcomes. The data from the Middle East are limited and report variable rates of bystander CPR and survival.

Here we present a systematic approach to scale up the discovery and characterization of small molecule ligands for the WD40 repeat (WDR) protein family. We developed a comprehensive suite of protocols for protein production, crystallography, and biophysical, biochemical, and cellular assays.

This case describes a rare presentation of SBO, accompanied by thrombosis of the bilateral internal carotid artery with neurological deficits in a resource-limited environment, illustrating diagnostic and management dilemmas. A male patient aged 40 years with poorly controlled type 2 diabetes presented with sudden onset loss of consciousness and worsening right-sided weakness.

Drought is an inevitable environmental stress that drastically hampers the growth, productivity, and quality of food crops. Exogenous sodium nitroprusside and spermidine have decisive functions in the growth enhancement of plants; nevertheless, their specific role in mediating stress responses to improve drought tolerance in sunflowers at the reproductive stage (terminal drought) remains largely unknown. In the present study, we explored the positive effects of sodium nitroprusside and spermidine on physiological responses to increase in sunflower yield during periods of terminal drought.

The clinical manifestations of PAD which are typically not revealed until symptoms like intermittent claudication, rest pain and ischemic gangrene develop, are not present in majority of diabetes mellitus patients with PAD due to diabetic peripheral neuropathy. Therefore, current study is aimed to evaluate the inflammatory and endothelial dysfunction markers with their correlation to biomarkers that can help for in-time diagnosis and efficient prognosis of developing diabetes-associated PAD.

Our results indicate a significant positive relationship between economic growth and CO emissions across all quantiles, showcasing an EKC with diminishing marginal effects. Coal rents exhibit a statistically significant negative relationship with emissions, particularly in higher quantiles, and mineral rents show a negative association with CO emissions in lower and middle quantiles, reinforcing the idea of resource management in emissions reduction.

As an adaptor protein specific to Cullin-RING E3 ligases, DDB1 binds different receptors that poise protein substrates for ubiquitination and subsequent degradation by the 26S proteasome. Examples of DDB1-binding protein receptors are Cereblon (CRBN) and the WD-repeat containing DB1- and UL4-ssociated actors (DCAFs).
