Evaluating and rating HIV/AIDS mobile apps using the feature-based application rating method and mobile app rating scale.

Background: The purpose of this study was to evaluate HIV/AIDS mobile applications using the Mobile App Rating Scale (MARS) and rate the features of these applications using the new tool called the Feature-based Application Rating Method (FARM).

Methods: In this study, all available HIV/AIDS apps in Iran from Cafe Bazaar and Google Play Store due to inclusion criteria were studied. The evaluation of the quality of applications was done using the MARS tool and the FARM tool.

The role of geographic information system and global positioning system in dementia care and research: a scoping review.

Background: Geographic Information System (GIS) and Global Positioning System (GPS), vital tools for supporting public health research, provide a framework to collect, analyze and visualize the interaction between different levels of the health care system. The extent to which GIS and GPS applications have been used in dementia care and research is not yet investigated. This scoping review aims to elaborate on the role and types of GIS and GPS applications in dementia care and research.

Appropriate accessibility to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) services is essential in the efficient management of the pandemic. Different geospatial methods and approaches have been used to measure accessibility to COVID-19 health-related services. This scoping review aimed to summarize and synthesize the geospatial studies conducted to measure accessibility to COVID-19 healthcare services.

Confidentiality of Information Stored on the Desktop of Computers in a Psychiatric Hospital: Before and After an Intervention.

The aim of this before-after study was to evaluate the effect of an educational intervention on the confidentiality status of unprotected information stored on computer desktop in a psychiatric hospital. All switched-on computer systems were inspected in 2017-2018 at the baseline and 7 months after placing an educational poster. The log-in conditions and files stored on the desktop were reviewed using a researcher-made checklist; moreover, users answered questions about the possible mechanism of deleting information stored on the desktop.

The objective of this study was to rate the content of HIV/AIDS-related mobile applications and to determine the extent to which evidence-based medicine is being incorporated into their content using a new tool called the Evidence-based content rating tool of mobile health applications (EBCRT-mHealth).

Background: The implementation of the electronic prescribing system follows certain objectives, and users' perspectives can contribute to understanding the efficiency and effectiveness of this system. This study aimed to evaluate physicians' perspectives on the efficiency and effectiveness of the electronic prescribing system.

Methods: This study was conducted on all physicians using the electronic prescribing system in clinics and hospitals affiliated with the treatment deputy of the Social Security Organization (SSO) in Sistan and Baluchistan Province in Iran.

Malaria or flu? A case report of misdiagnosis.

We present and discuss elaborately a case of malaria misdiagnosis in a 27-year-old woman in Chalus, Mazandaran Province, North Iran in 2013. The patient has been complaining of fever, shivering and myalgia for three months. Although she visited two physicians during this time, the problem still remained owing to misdiagnose.

A case of misdiagnose of malaria infection.

A case of malaria infection in a 42-year-old woman in rural area of Mahmodabad, Mazandaran Province, North Iran was reported and discussed elaborately. She was complaining about recurrent fevers, sweating, headache and myalgia in back. After her first admission to hospital due to misdiagnose she did not receive proper treatment and the patient suffered from clinical manifestations again.
