Awareness and Knowledge of Colorectal Cancer Screening Among Medical Students at the University of Aleppo: A Cross-Sectional Study.

 Colorectal cancer (CRC) is the third leading cause of malignancy in Syria. The aim of our study was to assess the awareness and knowledge of CRC and its screening methods among medical students at the University of Aleppo.  A cross-sectional study of medical students at the University of Aleppo was conducted using a self-administered 12-element questionnaire.

Nontraumatic bilateral subdural hematoma: Case report.

A subdural hematoma (SDH) is a type of bleeding in which a collection of blood gathers between the inner layer of the dura mater and the arachnoid mater of the meninges surrounding the brain. Although most cases reported of subdural hematoma are due to traumatic brain injury, to the best of our knowledge this is a rare case of nontraumatic subdural hematoma. Eye-Tracking Technology in Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery: A Systematic Review.

Background: The use of eye-tracking technology in plastic surgery has gained popularity over the past decade due to its ability to assess observers' visual preferences in an objective manner.

Objectives: The goal of this study was to provide a comprehensive review of eye-tracking studies in plastic and reconstructive surgery, which can aid in the design and conduct of high-quality eye-tracking studies.

Methods: Through application of Preferred Reporting Items for Systematic review and Meta-Analysis (PRISMA) guidelines, a comprehensive search of articles published on eye-tracking across several databases was conducted from January 1946 to January 2019.

A rare cause of small bowel diaphragm disease presenting with palpated abdominal mass.

Small bowel diaphragm disease is a rare complication related to non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) use. It presents with non-specific symptoms such as vomiting, abdominal pain, subacute bowel obstruction and occasionally as an acute abdominal condition. We report a case of diaphragm disease in a 33-year-old female who presented with vomiting, constipation and abdominal pain started 5 days earlier.

Trichobezoar in a young girl caused by ingestion of bristles brush for more than a decade: A case report.

Introduction: Trichobezoar is a rare cause of bowel obstruction. In general, Trichobezoars are composed of hair and usually found incidentally in patients undergoing upper gastrointestinal endoscopy or imaging. Patients diagnosed with Trichobezoar may have psychiatric disorders.

Superior mesenteric artery syndrome caused by weight loss in a malnourished Syrian man.

Superior mesenteric artery syndrome is a rare cause of upper gastrointestinal obstruction in which the third part of the duodenum is compressed between the superior mesenteric artery and the abdominal aorta, and the compression of the duodenum is caused by a narrowed aortomesenteric angle. We report in this case a 35-year-old patient who came with features of small bowel obstruction, weight loss and had a history of malnutrition because of war. Multi-slice computerized tomography showed a narrowed aortomesenteric angle and distance.

Background: is the most common parasitic infection in human. The worm is usually located in the small intestine, but may invade into the pancreatic or biliary tree, but rarely into gallbladder because of the anatomic features of the cystic duct.

Case Presentation: We report a case of gallbladder ascariasis that was diagnosed incidentally in a 70-year-old man, with negative ova and parasite test and no eosinophilia.
