Portal hypertensive biliopathy (PHB) is described as abnormalities of the walls of the biliary tree secondary to portal hypertension. Gastrointestinal bleeding caused by PHB is rare. PHB as a cause of serious bleeding after sphincteroplasty during ERCP is extremely rare.

Background: Little information is available to demonstrate the importance of flexible endoscopic examination of the upper gastrointestinal tract in obese patients prior to the weight-reduction surgery. In spite of the controversies, there are more evidences to support the value of preoperative endoscopy. Aim: The purpose of this review is to describe the various aspects of primary gastric lymphoma and the treatment options currently available.

Methods: After a systematic search of Pubmed, Medscape and MDconsult, we reviewed and retrieved literature regarding gastric lymphoma.

Results: Primary gastric lymphoma is rare however, the incidence of this malignancy is increasing.
