Acute tubular necrosis after transurethral resection of the prostate: a case report.

Unlabelled: Transurethral resection of the prostate (TURP) is currently the gold standard for the surgical treatment of benign prostatic hyperplasia. This surgery may lead to TURP syndrome and in some cases, acute tubular necrosis can develop.

Case Presentation: We had a 67-year-old male patient who had benign prostate hyperplasia unresponsive to tamsulosin.

Does Sub-Anesthetic Ketamine Provide Postoperative Analgesia for Third Molar Surgery?

Purpose: Despite ketamine's effectiveness as an anesthetic and its known analgesic properties, the role of ketamine in postoperative pain after third molar surgery remains unclear. Therefore, this study aimed to investigate whether patients undergoing third molar surgery who received a sub-anesthetic preoperative dose of intravenous ketamine would experience less postoperative pain.
