Central nervous system tuberculosis (CNS-TB) is the most severe extra-pulmonary manifestation of tuberculosis (TB), facing significant challenges due to the limited penetration of anti-TB drugs (ATDs) across the blood-brain barrier (BBB) and their insufficient concentrations at the site of infection. This study aimed to enhance the efficacy of ATDs by encapsulating them in methyl-β-cyclodextrin (M-β-CD) microparticles (ATD-MP) using spray drying, intended for intranasal delivery to manage CNS-TB. Past scientific testimonials in the field of glioma research, the deadliest tumor among all brain cancer types with the life span of 10-15 months after diagnosis is considered as glioblastoma multiforme (GBM). Even though the availability of treatment options such as chemotherapy, radiotherapy, and surgery, are unable to completely cure GBM due to tumor microenvironment complexity, intrinsic cellular signalling, and genetic mutations which are involved in chemoresistance. In this study, we investigated and confirmed natural lumpy skin disease virus (LSDV) infection in Himalayan yaks (Bos grunniens) in Himachal Pradesh, India, based on clinical manifestations and results of genome detection, antibody detection, virus isolation, and nucleotide sequencing. Subsequent phylogenetic analysis based on complete GPCR, RPO30, and EEV gene sequences revealed that the LSDV isolates from these yaks and local cattle belonged to LSDV subcluster 1.2.

In 2018, the Government of Madhya Pradesh initiated the feasibility testing of integrating an algorithmic approach (assess, give, counsel, treat) to strengthen antenatal nutrition services in routine government-funded programmes coupled with a health system thinking approach to strengthen the health service delivery platform. Implementation phases included (1) an evidence review and stakeholder consultations (April 2018) and (2) a health systems strengthening preparedness phase (May-December 2018), including pilot testing in Vidisha district (January-December 2019) covering ∼54 100 pregnant women with 237 antenatal contact points through 241 government auxiliary nurse midwives/staff nurses. During 2020-21, feasibility testing was expanded to an additional 7 districts.

Alopecia areata is a chronic hair loss disorder that involves autoimmune disruption of hair follicles by CD8  T cells. Most patients present with patchy hair loss on the scalp that improves spontaneously or with topical and intralesional steroids, topical minoxidil, or topical immunotherapy. However, recurrence of hair loss is common, and patients with extensive disease may require treatment with oral corticosteroids or oral Janus kinase (JAK) inhibitors, both of which may cause systemic toxicities with long-term use.

Tissue injuries and pathological insults produce oxidative stress, genetic and epigenetic alterations, which lead to an imbalance between pro- and anti-fibrotic molecules, and subsequent accumulation of extracellular matrix, thereby fibrosis. Various molecular pathways play a critical role in fibroblasts activation, which promotes the extracellular matrix production and accumulation. Recent reports highlighted that histone deacetylases (HDACs) are upregulated in various fibrotic disorders and play a central role in fibrosis, while HDAC inhibitors exert antifibrotic effects.
