Background: Plantar fasciitis (PF) is a common foot disorder with variability in treatment strategy. Two effective management techniques include platelet-rich plasma (PRP) injections and extracorporeal shock wave therapy (ESWT). The purpose of this meta-analysis is to compare the effectiveness of PRP vs ESWT in the management of PF.

Medial Collateral Ligament Pie-Crusting for Isolated Medial Meniscal Root Repair Is Associated With Improved Clinical Outcomes with Minimum 2-Year Follow-Up.

Purpose: To determine clinical and radiographic outcomes of medial collateral ligament (MCL) pie-crusting during isolated medial meniscal root repair.

Methods: A retrospective review was conducted between August 2013 and December 2019 in patients undergoing isolated medial meniscal root repair. Outcomes, including International Knee Documentation Committee (IKDC) score, Lysholm score, re-tears, MCL laxity, and conversion to total knee arthroplasty (TKA), were compared between pie crust (PC) and non-pie crust (NPC) cohorts.
