Background: Regulations on Graduate Medical Education (Amendment), 2019 (GME) introduced competency-based medical education (CMBE) for undergraduate medical students and were implemented in the 2019 entrance batch in medical colleges all over India. This study aimed to find out the challenges faced by medical teachers in CBME implementation, lessons learned, and the level of preparedness for upcoming batches.
Material And Methods: A cross-sectional, multi-centric descriptive study was conducted from November 2021 to February 2022 including first-year faculty of medical colleges.
Objective: Thyroid diseases pose a substantial socioeconomic burden globally. The aim of this study was to evaluate the correlation between estradiol-to-testosterone (E2/T) ratio and thyroid peroxidase antibody (TPOAb) positivity in male patients with hypothyroidism or euthyroidism.
Subjects And Methods: Cross-sectional observational study including 115 male patients with hypothyroidism or euthyroidism.

Background: Amoebiasis is a prevalent infection in the tropics and can sometimes present as liver abscess. Cardiac tamponade is an uncommon complication of ruptured amoebic liver abscess requiring urgent pericardiocentesis, which has a high success rate, but procedural complications can include injury to cardiac chambers, abdominal viscera, and even death. This case underscores the approach to diagnose and manage an unintended visceral puncture during pericardiocentesis, which is a rare but life-threatening complication.

Pregnant women are vulnerable to adverse effects of medicines, especially during the first trimester. Though it is advised to avoid unnecessary intake of medicine during pregnancy, CAM use is widespread.

Despite the wide range of pleural effusion causes, including pneumonia, congestive heart failure, and cancer, the majority of cases are attributed to pleural fluid buildup. Acute pancreatitis also leads to complications such as systemic inflammatory response syndrome.

After the scaphoid, triquetrum, and trapezium, the lunate is the fourth most frequently fractured carpal bone. Due to lunate fracture, the functional prognosis is uncertain, and conservative treatment frequently results in surgery.

Hybrid closed-loop systems (HCL) like the t:slim X2 with Control-IQ technology (Control-IQ) can help improve glycemic control. The purpose of this study is to assess adolescents' situational awareness of their glucose control and engagement with the Control-IQ system to determine significant factors in daily glycemic control.

Materials And Methods: This prospective observational study included all new cases of megaloblastic anemia presenting with febrile illness (>101°F) during a 3-year period.
Hsp101 chaperone is vital for survival of plants under heat stress. We generated transgenic Arabidopsis thaliana (Arabidopsis) lines with extra copies of Hsp101 gene using diverse approaches. Arabidopsis plants transformed with rice Hsp101 cDNA driven by Arabidopsis Hsp101 promoter (IN lines) showed high heat tolerance while the plants transformed with rice Hsp101 cDNA driven by CaMV35S promoter (C lines) were like wild type plants in heat stress response.

It is claimed to be superior to other modalities for stone clearance, complications and hospital stay. The aim of this study was to find out the prevalence of complete stone clearance after retrograde intra-renal surgery among patients with urolithiasis in a tertiary care centre.

This study was conducted to report our experience of three such cases and analyze the previously reported cases to assess the overall outcomes and formulate a treatment plan for these patients.
Methods: We pooled the data extracted on extensive literature review and analyzed.
Neurological side-effects of linezolid manifesting as a posterior reversible leuco-encephalopathy syndrome (PRES) is rare. Early identification of this offending drug might reverse this catastrophic event. We report a 45-year-old female, who was diagnosed as a case of disseminated tuberculosis and was treated with antitubercular drugs (ATT), but later developed ATT-induced hepatitis.

This report presents a rare clinical case which presented with lower limb deep vein thrombosis and found to have colon polyp incidentally detected while evaluating for occult blood positive in stool. Histopathology of the polyp was suggestive of lung primary and on further evaluation PET scan was suggestive of left lung mass with widespread distant metastasis.

As either primary or metastatic lesions, they are rare in intraosseous sites. We describe the fifth report of primary DSRCT of bone.

Methods: Nasopharyngeal swabs from suspected vaccine breakthrough cases were tested for SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) by qPCR (quantitative polymerase chain reaction) for Wuhan-Hu1 and alpha variant.
The combination of cyclin dependent kinase 4/6 inhibitors with endocrine therapy is the standard therapy in hormone receptor positive HER-2 negative metastatic breast cancer (HR+/HER2- MBC). Several randomized trials have shown the benefits of this combination, however, real world evidence in the Indian patients is warranted. The present study reports the largest real world multicentric data from Indian population on the use of Palbociclib in HR+/HER2- MBC.
