Introduction: SpO2, heart rate, and systolic, diastolic, and mean arterial blood pressure are among the commonly applied and most frequently chosen indicators of well-being of newborns in intensive care units. Objective: to determine the relationship between the aforementioned parameters and the status of newborns depending on the outcome of the Infant Flow (I-F) therapy, and the development of complications in the form of pneumothorax.

Material And Methods: A retrospective single-centre study covering the years 2009-2014.

Synopsis of recent research by authors named "Agnieszka Sontowska"

  • - Agnieszka Sontowska's research primarily focuses on the physiological parameters of newborns in intensive care, specifically monitoring SpO2, heart rate, and arterial blood pressure during non-invasive ventilation interventions.
  • - In her 2021 study, she conducted a retrospective analysis to evaluate how these vital signs correlate with the outcomes of Infant Flow (I-F) therapy and the incidence of complications like pneumothorax in newborns.
  • - The findings suggest that understanding the relationship between these parameters and therapy outcomes is crucial in improving neonatal care and monitoring practices in intensive care settings.
