A Case of Anti-Synthetase Syndrome Successfully Treated with Mycophenolate Mofetil and Rituximab but No Corticosteroids.

Unlabelled: A patient with antisynthetase syndrome with pulmonary and muscular involvement was treated with immunosuppressive agents without corticosteroids. Rituximab was added to mycophenolate mofetil therapy with improvement in lung functional and imaging findings and normalization of creatine kinase levels.

Learning Points: Antisynthetase syndrome associated with interstitial lung disease (ILD) and myopathy can be successfully treated without corticosteroids.

Theoretical study of resonance formation in microhydrated molecules. I. Pyridine-(HO), n = 1,2,3,5.

We present R-matrix calculations for electron scattering from microhydrated pyridine. We studied the pyridine-HO cluster at static-exchange (SE), SE + polarization, and close-coupling levels, and pyridine-(HO) n = 2, 3, and 5 at SE level only in order to investigate the effect of hydrogen bonding on the resonances of pyridine. We analyse the results in terms of direct and indirect effects.
