Abnormalities in the KRAS Gene and Treatment Options for NSCLC Patients with the G12C Mutation in This Gene-A Literature Review and Single-Center Experience.

Mutations in the gene are among the most common mutations observed in cancer cells, but they have only recently become an achievable goal for targeted therapies. Two inhibitors, sotorasib and adagrasib, have recently been approved for the treatment of patients with advanced non-small cell lung cancer with the G12C mutation, while studies on their efficacy are still ongoing. In this work, we comprehensively analyzed gene mutations' molecular background, mutation testing, KRAS inhibitors' effectiveness with an emphasis on non-small cell lung cancer, the impact of mutations on immunotherapy outcomes, and drug resistance problems.

Clinical and Prognostic Value of Antigen-Presenting Cells with PD-L1/PD-L2 Expression in Ovarian Cancer Patients.

The latest literature demonstrates the predominant role of the programmed cell death axis (PD-1/PD-L1/PD-L2) in ovarian cancer (OC) pathogenesis. However, data concerning this issue is ambiguous. Our research aimed to evaluate the clinical importance of PD-L1/PD-L2 expression in OC environments.

Impact of Hysterectomy on Quality of Life, Urinary Incontinence, Sexual Functions and Urethral Length.

The aim of the study was to evaluate the influence of different types of hysterectomy on UI symptoms, quality of life and sexual functions using dedicated questionnaires. We investigated a correlation between the urethral length (UL), UI symptoms and the length of the cervix (left after LSH and SH) with sexual functions. The study enrolled 500 consecutive women referred for hysterectomy: 121 underwent VH, 171 underwent LSH, 96 underwent SH, 68 underwent TAH, and 44 underwent TLH.

Assessment of Language Functions in Patients With Disorders of Consciousness Using an Alternative Communication Tool.

This study aimed to describe the percentage of tasks involving language functions that were completed by patients diagnosed with disorders of consciousness, as observed during neurorehabilitation conducted for different periods of time using an alternative communication tool. The project involved six participants, who were observed for 1 month, 6 months, and 1 year. The patients were asked to solve tasks involving language functions with the use of an eye-controlled device.

The Role of Motor Imagery in Predicting Motor Skills in Young Male Soccer Players.

The study aimed to find out whether the imagery ability within the two subcomponents of motor imagery (visual and kinesthetic) allows predicting the results in simple response time task and eye-hand coordination task in a group of young male soccer players (9-15 years old). Non-specific simple response time and eye-hand coordination play a key role in predicting specific sports performance level. Participants performed Reaction Time Task, Eye-Hand Coordination Task, and completed Motor Imagery Questionnaire-Revised.

Gender Dysphoria Disrupting the Course of Treatment of a Recurrent Juvenile Granulosa Cell Tumor in an Adolescent Female: A Case Report.

We present the case of an adolescent female patient with gender dysphoria (GD) who was diagnosed with a recurrent ovarian neoplasm - juvenile granulosa cell tumor (JGCT). The 17-year-old female patient presented multiple endocrine pathologies and a recurrent JGCT. During the surgery qualification process, the patient admitted having identified herself as a male.

Post-comatose patients with minimal consciousness tend to preserve reading comprehension skills but neglect syntax and spelling.

Modern eye tracking technology provides a means for communication with patients suffering from disorders of consciousness (DoC) or remaining in locked-in-state. However, being able to use an eye tracker for controlling text-based contents by such patients requires preserved reading ability in the first place. To our knowledge, this aspect, although of great social importance, so far has seemed to be neglected.

Introduction And Hypothesis: Pelvic organ prolapse (POP) treatment has become more common in the world's health care systems, and the demand for pelvic floor disorder rehabilitation has been projected to increase by 35% between 2010 and 2030. Restitution procedures vary, but after the US Food and Drug Administration (FDA) notifications, the global use of mesh in vaginal surgeries has significantly decreased. The aim of this study is to show trends in urogynecological surgeries in Poland.

[Frequency of subjectively assessed symptoms of sexual dysfunction and sexual disorders].

Aim: Assessment of the frequency of subjectively assessed symptoms of sexual dysfunctions and sexual disorders in patients with schizophrenia in comparison with general population results.

Method: The study was anonymous and was conducted on a group of 56 persons with schizophrenia--patients of psychiatric hospital day-wards. A Sexological Questionnaire was used, which was based on the ICD-10 criteria.
