Article Synopsis
  • The study investigates voice problems in teachers, often caused by strain, improper voice use, and poor responses to stress, aiming to link these issues to their coping styles.
  • It involved 174 female teachers undergoing a 24-day voice rehabilitation, using the Voice Handicap Index (VHI) for voice assessment and the Coping Inventory for Stressful Situations (CISS) for evaluating coping mechanisms.
  • Results indicate that emotion-focused coping is connected to subjective voice issues, suggesting that stress management techniques should be included in voice rehabilitation to help mitigate voice disorders in teachers.
