In this case-control study on 564 healthcare workers of a university hospital in Paris (France), contacts without protection with coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) patients or with colleagues were associated with infection with severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2, whereas working in a COVID-dedicated unit and having children kept in childcare facilities were not.

Methods: This prospective study compared a 1500-bed adult and 600-bed pediatric setting of a tertiary-care university hospital located in central Paris.
Background: The early recognition of acute coronary syndromes is a priority in health care systems, to reduce revascularization delays. In France, patients are encouraged to call emergency numbers (15, 112), which are routed to a Medical Dispatch Centre where physicians conduct an interview and decide on the appropriate response. However, the effectiveness of this system has not yet been assessed.

Using registry data on STEMI patients in the Greater Paris Area, we assessed changes between 2003 and 2008 in the rates of pPCI, pre-hospital fibrinolytic therapy (PHF) and time delays in patients presenting within 2h of STEMI pain onset.
Methods: The Greater Paris Area was divided in 3 regions: Paris, the small and large rings.
Background: Primary percutaneous coronary intervention (PCI) for ST-elevation myocardial infarction has traditionally been supported by unfractionated heparin, which has never been directly compared with a new anticoagulant using consistent anticoagulation and similar antiplatelet strategies in both groups. We compared traditional heparin treatment with intravenous enoxaparin in primary PCI.
Methods: In a randomised open-label trial, patients presenting with ST-elevation myocardial infarction were randomly assigned (1:1) to receive an intravenous bolus of 0·5 mg/kg of enoxaparin or unfractionated heparin before primary PCI.
Aim: To describe longitudinal trends in patients' characteristics, management and hospital outcomes over 20 years of therapy for ST-segment elevation myocardial infarction (STEMI).
Methods: From 1988 to 2007, 2100 consecutive patients with STEMI were admitted within 6 hours of symptom onset to a centre with a systematic reperfusion policy. The population was divided into three periods 1988-1996, 1996-2001 and 2001-2007.
Study Objectives: Diagnosis of acute left ventricular failure (LVF) is often difficult in the prehospital setting. Brain natriuretic peptide (BNP) is a marker of LVF. The object of this study was to evaluate the feasibility of BNP measurement during the prehospital management of patients with dyspnoea.
