Background: The influx of Ukrainian refugees to Lithuania due to the ongoing conflict has created substantial challenges in healthcare and social services.

Objective: To identify the key challenges faced by Ukrainian refugees in accessing healthcare and social services in Lithuania.

Methods: A qualitative study was conducted using semi-structured interviews with 22 Russian-speaking female Ukrainian refugees residing in various regions of Lithuania.

An Evaluation of the Quality of Life and Emotional Status of Patients With Implantable Cardioverter Defibrillators at the Vilnius University Hospital, Lithuania.

Background and objective An arrhythmia is a disorder of the heart rate or rhythm. An implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) is a small electronic device connected to the heart to continuously keep track of and help control rapid and sometimes life-threatening electrical problems with the heart. However, it may result in psychological tension in patients' lives, eventually affecting their quality of life (QoL).

Background: The influx of undocumented migrants and asylum seekers into Lithuania, particularly during the COVID-19 pandemic, presents unique public health challenges. Cultural competency among Lithuanian nurses and preparedness to work with intercultural immigrants: A quantitative study protocol.

Introduction: Health care providers are increasingly required to provide care to patients from diverse cultural backgrounds. A culturally competent approach could be used to address gaps in the health care of migrants, whether they are refugees, asylum seekers, or undocumented migrants. From June 2021 onward, there are estimated to be 4,300 asylum seekers in Lithuania who crossed the Belarusian border.

Prognosis of Treatment Outcomes by Cognitive and Physical Scales.

Unlabelled: The aim of this study was to assess the possibility of using scales for measuring cognitive and physical functions for a prognosis of care outcomes in elderly patients.

Methodology: The survey was carried out in one of the Vilnius City Hospitals for Nursing and Support Treatment. A total number of 177 respondents were involved in the study.
