Pemphigus is an autoimmune blistering disorder characterized by the presence of intraepidermal blisters and erosions, primarily affecting the mucosa and/or skin. There are no established Indian guidelines for the management of pemphigus, and Western guidelines cannot be directly applied due to differences in clinicodemographic profiles, comorbidities, and resource limitations. These guidelines aim to provide Indian dermatologists with evidence-based and consensus-driven recommendations for the management of pemphigus vulgaris (PV) and pemphigus foliaceous (PF), taking into account the unique challenges posed by the Indian healthcare setting.

Giant cell tumor affecting distal radius has been considered more aggressive, as compared to its counterparts in other locations. While resection has been advocated as the treatment of choice with lower rates of recurrence, curettage has reportedly led to superior functional outcomes. This retrospective study aimed to evaluate the functional and oncological outcomes of patients managed for GCT distal radius by either extended intralesional curettage (EIC) or resection and arthrodesis with radialisation of ulna (RRU), with respect to rates of local recurrence and function.

We would also like to review this rare entity and compare it with other similar cases reported in the literature. Our first case was a young male with right-sided neck pain of 1-week duration with magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) showing right carotid perivascular inflammation which completely resolved after 2 weeks with anti-inflammatory drugs.

Aims: We aimed to compare efficacy of 1-day versus 3-day terlipressin therapy in cirrhosis patients with AVB post-endoscopic intervention. The primary objective was to compare rebleeding at 5 days between the two arms.
California Leafy Green Products Handler Marketing Agreement (LGMA) established food safety metrics with guidance recommendations of 366 m (1,200 feet) and 1,609 m (1 mile) distances between production fields of leafy greens and a concentrated animal feeding operation (CAFO) containing >1,000 and >80,000 head of cattle, respectively. This study evaluated the effect of these distance metrics and environmental factors on the occurrence of airborneEscherichia coliin proximity to seven commercial beef cattle feedlots located in Imperial Valley, California. A total of 168 air samples were collected from seven beef cattle feedlots during March and April 2020, which were the months implicated in the 2018 Yuma Arizona lettuce outbreak of E.

Methods: Patients who underwent curative intent treatment for gastric cancer in a single institution between 2007 and 2018 were included in the analysis.
Purpose: The behavior of trigeminocardiac reflex (TCR) is limited to few case reports only in maxillofacial surgery, especially for temporomandibular joint (TMJ) ankylosis cases. The present study aims to find out the incidence of bradycardia due to TCR during intraoperative forceful mouth opening in TMJ ankylosis patients.
Materials And Methods: A prospective, unicentric observational study was conducted selecting those patients who were planned for osteoarthrectomy with interpositional gap arthroplasty under general anesthesia.
Purpose: Objective of this study was to compare high-pitch prospective electrocardiogram (ECG)-gated computed tomography (CT) pulmonary angiography (HP-PECG-gated CTPA) with standard-pitch non-ECG-gated CT pulmonary angiography (SP-NECG-gated CTPA) on 128-slice dual-source CT (DSCT) for the detection of subsegmental pulmonary embolism (SSPE) in patients suspected of acute pulmonary embolism (APE) with radiation and contrastoptimized protocols. Cardiac-related motion artefacts, lung image quality, and quantitative parameter (pulmonary arterial enhancement, radiation exposure, and contrast) volumes were also compared.
Material And Methods: This prospective study enrolled 87 patients clinically suspected of APE and randomly distributed to either group by software.
Background: Recently, Olze et al. came up with a staging system based on the radiological changes in the root pulp of the third molar.
Aims & Objectives: The current study seeks to ascertain the utility of visibility of the root pulp of the third molar as a system of forensic age estimation in the Indian population, as suggested by Olze.
Background: The deadly COVID-19 (Coronavirus Disease 2019) or SARS-CoV-2 (severe acute respiratory syndrome coronavirus 2) was identified for the first time in December 2019 from Wuhan, China, and by the beginning of March 2020, it was declared a pandemic by the World Health Organization (WHO). Despite so many government regulations and awareness measures, there is still a lacuna between the gravity of illness and the knowledge of the average person toward it.
Objective: We aimed at assessing the knowledge, attitude, and behavioral practice (KAP) of patients on immunosuppressive medication attending the dermatology department toward, COVID-19.
Purpose: Many underserved remote locations without specialists would benefit from the ability to quickly and easily share images of radiographs with trained radiologists using WhatsApp messenger. However, there is limited evidence on the role of WhatsApp messenger for sharing chest x-ray (CXR) images to aid diagnosis and management. The objective of the study was to determine the diagnostic accuracy and inter-observer agreement of WhatsApp messenger images of digital CXR compared to viewing on Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS) monitor.

Materials And Methods: This prospective study was conducted on 20 patients diagnosed with cases of displaced mandibular anterior fractures treated with open reduction and internal fixation. The patients were then randomly allocated to either of two groups - Group A: two 2.
This case of sexually motivated homicide combined the perpetrator's obliteration of his victim's identity along with his attempt at concealment of the corpse and sexual gratification following ligature strangulation of a young unidentified female from a minority Indian state. Sexual bondage was evident with characteristic body tying in a typical posture to fuel the killer's sexual arousal and gratification before, during and then after strangling his victim with a scarf. The victim's body was left in a sack packed with vegetables and transported from the crime site and found abandoned in a park.

The objective of this study was to highlight the pathological findings of amyloid mesenteric angiopathy in cases of senile systemic amyloidosis. Literature review, author's research data, and practice experience were used.

We describe a novel echo-derived hemodynamic HF model based on flow (stroke volume index [SVI]) and left atrial pressure (E:E') correlates.
Methods: A retrospective analysis of patients admitted with HF with both reduced (HFrEF) and preserved EF (HFpEF).
The elongation or calcification of the stylohyoid ligament that leads to pressure symptoms, or entrapment of nearby glossopharyngeal nerve or carotid artery, is known as Eagle syndrome. A PubMed search leads to finding of rare fatality among the 49 reported cases. In the present case, the deceased was a 40-year-old male who choked on his food.

However, Tfh express minimal CCR5, the major coreceptor for HIV-1, and the mechanism by which they are infected is unclear. We have previously shown that macaque Tfh lack CCR5, but are infected with CCR5-using SIV at levels comparable to other memory CD4 T cells.

The recesses are usually related to rotation and adhesion of abdominal viscera to the posterior abdominal wall and/or the presence of retroperitoneal vessels which raises the serosal fold. The duodenal recesses are usually related to the 3 and 4 parts of the duodenum.

As an alternative to radioimmunoassay a simple and highly sensitive enzyme immunoassay (EIA) was developed and validated for androstenedione quantification in plasma of Karan Fries bulls using second antibody coating technique. The wells of the microtitreplate were coated with affinity-purified goat immunoglobulin (antirabbit IgG) that binds the hormone specific antibody. The EIA was performed to analyze androstenedione directly in 40 μl of bull plasma.
