At the onset of the COVID-19 pandemic, clinicians and researchers were concerned about its impact on the health of people living with HIV (PLWH). Although mitigation measures during the early part of the pandemic used telehealth, it was uncertain whether PLWH would be amenable to this type of care and whether health outcomes would be affected. PLWH actively seeking treatment at a large urban outpatient practice in Essex County, New Jersey, were interviewed from October 2020 to June 2021 about their health-related experiences during COVID-19.

Parasitic infections like filariasis are uncommon causes of secondary membranous nephropathy (MN) which requires serological tests to detect circulating Wuchereria bancrofti antigens for its diagnosis or the identification of microfilariae in the capillary lumen on kidney biopsy. The immunochromatographic card tests is simple, non invasive and has high sensitivity and specificity. We report a case of 30 year old lady who presented to us with nephrotic syndrome which on kidney biopsy showed features of membranous nephropathy with negative staining for Anti PLA2R, THSD7A and exostosin.

Introduction: The Cohen-Mansfield Agitation Inventory (CMAI) quantifies the frequency of agitation behaviors in elderly persons. This analysis of data from the brexpiprazole clinical program aimed to determine a meaningful within-patient change (MWPC) threshold for CMAI Total score among patients with agitation associated with dementia due to Alzheimer's disease.

Methods: Data were included from three 12-week, multicenter, randomized, double-blind, placebo-controlled, parallel-arm trials of brexpiprazole for the treatment of agitation associated with dementia due to Alzheimer's disease (ClinicalTrials.

During the COVID-19 pandemic, there was an increased reported use of chemical cleaning, sanitizing, and disinfecting products (CSDPs), which created public concerns about negative health consequences for both children and adults in public schools. A subset of newer teachers shared experiences regarding safety and health (S&H) while working in school-based settings through a series of online surveys. Surveys were provided to teachers who completed work-based learning supervisory trainings provided by the New Jersey Safe Schools Program between October 2021 and June 2023.

Pharyngeal muscle activity and responsiveness are key pathophysiological traits in human obstructive sleep apnea (OSA) and strong contributors to improvements with pharmacotherapy. The thyrotropin-releasing hormone (TRH) analog taltirelin is of high pre-clinical interest given its neuronal-stimulant properties, minimal endocrine activity, tongue muscle activation following microperfusion into the hypoglossal motor nucleus (HMN) or systemic delivery, and high TRH receptor expression at the HMN compared to rest of the brain. Here we test the hypothesis that taltirelin increases HMN activity and/or responsivity to excitatory stimuli applied across sleep-wake states in-vivo.
