Objective: To develop a universal system for assessing the speech function in patients with congenital palatal cleft in the postoperative period.
Materials And Methods: A universal system for assessing the speech function for patients with a palatal cleft can be applied both after the primary operation of uranoplasty and for patients diagnosed with velopharyngeal insufficiency (VPI). The patient's speech is assessed according to the following criteria: defects in the pronunciation of consonants by place of articulation: labial, labiodental, lingual-dental, lingual-palatal, lingual-alveolar; speech breathing; tongue position; directed air stream; voicing disorders; The patient's is also evaluated for the following findings: hypernasality (reflected speech); hypernasality (spontaneous speech); hyponasality; pharyngeal reflex; audible nasal emission/turbulence; facial grimaces; speech intelligibility.
This article contains results of analyses of angiotensin II receptors expression in human adipose tissue and stem/stromal cells isolated from adipose tissue. We also provide here data regarding the effect of angiotensin II on intracellular calcium mobilization in adipose tissue derived stem/stromal cells (ADSCs). Discussion of the data can be found in (Sysoeva et al.

Mesenchymal stem cells of adipose tissue are the main source of adipocytes. The aim of this study was to clarify how local RAS could control adipose differentiation of human adipose tissue derived mesenchymal stem cells (ADSCs).

PDGF stimulates generation of hydrogen peroxide that is required for cell migration, but the sources and intracellular targets of H2O2 remain obscure. Here we demonstrate sustained live responses of H2O2 to PDGF and identify PKB/Akt, but not Erk1/2, as the target for redox regulation in cultured 3T3 fibroblasts and MSC.

The aim of the study was to assess the significance of environmental risk factors for teeth aplasia and hypoplasia in cleft lip and palate children. Two hundred and forty-seven cleft lip and palate (CLP) children were enrolled in the study including 105 (42.5%) with bilateral CLP and 57.

Methods: Human ADSCs were isolated from 10 healthy donors and cultured for 3-4 passages. Cells were serum deprived and cell purity was assessed using multiple cell surface markers.
Diagnosis of amino acid metabolism disorders according to the clinics without laboratory diagnosis is almost impossible in infants with a history of neonatal and/or premorbid background and multi-organ failure. Mortality due to hereditary tyrosinemia type I is greater than 90%.

To study characteristics of headache combined with orthopedic disorders in children and adolescents and to develop treatment approaches, we examined 116 patients aged from 5 to 17 years. Headache of tension was found in 89 (77%) and chronic headache in 27 (23%) patients. Along with clinical/neurological and orthopedic examination, all patients were studied using a special device that allowed to quantitatively measure the bearing (in three dimensions) and biomechanic body balance.

Ultrasound study (USS) let receive clinically significant information about anatomical structures peculiarities of upper lip, alveolar process and palate in patients with crest CCULP that could be important for surgical and prosthetic treatment planning and also significant for assessment of immediate and postponed treatment results.

The results of the study of influenza A virus surface antigens, hemagglutinin and neuraminidase, in the induction of nonspecific immunomodulation and protection from acute pulmonary staphylococcal infection have been studied. Protective effect, the cell composition of bronchoalveolar lavage fluid depend on the serological subtypes of surface antigens used for intranasal immunization and the infective dose of staphylococci.
