Current clinical practice guidelines were established by several organizations to guide the diagnosis and treatment of hypertension in men and women in a similar manner despite data demonstrating differences in underlying mechanisms. Few publications have provided a contemporary and comprehensive review focused on characteristics of hypertension that are unique to women across their life spectrum. We performed a computerized search using PubMed, OVID, EMBASE, and Cochrane library databases between 1995 and 2023 that highlighted relevant clinical studies, challenges to the management of hypertension in women, and multidisciplinary approaches to hypertension control in women, including issues unique to racial and ethnic minority groups.

Objectives: This study aimed to examine risk factors for adverse maternal cardiac, maternal obstetric, and neonatal outcomes as well as costs for pregnant people with CVD at delivery.
Methods: Using the National Inpatient Sample 2010-2019 and the Internal Classification of Diseases diagnosis codes, all pregnant people admitted for their delivery hospitalization were included.
Background: Congenital heart disease (CHD) affects 8 in 1,000 live births with significant postnatal implications including growth failure, neurodevelopmental delay, and mortality. The placenta develops concomitantly with the fetal heart. High rates of placental pathology and discordant growth in pregnancies affected by CHD highlight the significance of the fetal-placental-cardiac axis.

Background: Pregnant people are vulnerable to new or worsening mental health conditions. This study aims to describe prevalence and course of depression and anxiety symptoms in pregnancy during the pre-vaccine COVID-19 pandemic.
Methods: This is a prospective cohort study of pregnant individuals with known or suspected COVID-19.
New functionality is added to the LAMMPS molecular simulation package, which increases the versatility with which LAMMPS can interface with supporting software and manipulate information associated with bonded force fields. We introduce the "type label" framework that allows atom types and their higher-order interactions (bonds, angles, dihedrals, and impropers) to be represented in terms of the standard atom type strings of a bonded force field. Type labels increase the human readability of input files, enable bonded force fields to be supported by the OpenKIM repository, simplify the creation of reaction templates for the REACTER protocol, and increase compatibility with external visualization tools, such as VMD and OVITO.

Standard of care echocardiography can have limited diagnostic accuracy in certain cases of fetal congenital heart disease. Prenatal cardiovascular magnetic resonance (CMR) imaging has potential to provide additional anatomic imaging information, including excellent soft tissue images in multiple planes, improving prenatal diagnostics and in utero hemodynamic assessment.
